The Wanda Beach murders, sometimes referred to simply as Wanda, are the case of the unsolved murders of Marianne Schmidt and Christine Sharrock at Wanda Beach near Cronulla in Sydney, Australia on 11 January 1965. The victims, both aged 15, were best friends and neighbours from the suburb of West Ryde, and their partially buried bodies were discovered the next day. The brutal nature of the slayings and the fact that they occurred on a deserted, windswept beach brought massive publicity to the case. Boasting numerous surf beaches and swimming spots, the suburb attracts both tourists and Greater Sydney residents. Sydney Underwater - Diving Oak Park

This video is the third film in a mini series about scuba diving in the Sutherland Shire, in southern Sydney. Oak Park is located just around the corner from Cronulla and has a small population of resident turtles! I've dove this site probably around 10 - 15 times and have spotted turtles (there are 3 different turtles that frequent the area) on about 35 - 40% of my dives here. Which is more frequent than up on Great Barrier Reef! Insane hey!

The site itself is super shallow and a perfect beginner dive, its loaded with cool corals and a ridiculous amount of fish! It's easily one of Sydneys best dives! For maps and more detailed site information visit the 'Visit the Sutherland Shire's' website.

WEEDY SEA DRAGON Heaven - Kurnell

Weedy Sea Dragons Everywhere! The only place in the world to find these animals is in the southern parts of Australia. Incredibly, I live just a short drive away from Kurnell, Sydney, home to one of the largest populations of Weedy Sea Dragons in the world.

This video is the second film in a mini series about scuba diving in the Sutherland Shire. And what a site! The entire site is lined with vibrant coral gardens, and is covered in wildlife!

This particular film was captured between the sites: The Monument and The Steps. I tend to enter the water at The Monument, swim south until I reach 100 bar or the entry of the Steps, and then turn around.
