Recently we were fortunate enough to visit one of the most scenic areas in all of Romania for a solid week. The name of this particular region is Neamt County where we enjoyed activities such as hiking up mountains, visiting monasteries, exploring artisan's houses and gorging on delicious Romanian cuisine just to name a few. Piatra Neamț is the capital city of Neamț County, in the historical region of Moldavia, eastern Romania. Because of its privileged location in the Eastern Carpathian mountains, it is considered one of the most picturesque cities in Romania. The Nord-Est Regional Development Agency is located in Piatra Neamț.

Telegondola din PIATRA NEAMT - Gondola Lift (Neamt County, Romania)

Gondola lift in Piatra Neamt runs through the downtown area. It was inaugurated in February 2008. The departure station is in front of the railway station (323 m elevation) and arriving at Mount Cozla (632 m altitude). The difference in altitude between stops is about 310 m. The cable line, supported by 10 pillars, measures 1915 m of which the bulk is above the downtown area, where records and the greatest height from the ground surface ( 63 m, the Decebal Boulevard). The final part, above the slope of Mount Cozla is more inclined and nearest to land. Near the station on Mount Cozla is skiing path served by other cable transport installations. The cableway system, produced by the Austrian company Doppelmayr, has 22 gondolas traveling at a speed of 6 m / s (or 21,6 km / h). Each gondola has 8 seats (640 kg, the weight of passengers). The transport capacity is 1200 persons / hour. The trip takes about 6-8 minutes. The ticket / outbound, for adults, is 20 lei (about 4.4 euro in 2016). For groups and other categories of people are discounts. The gondola lift opens panorama of the city of Piatra Neamt, Mount Pietricica the Lake Batca doamnei. On clear days you can see Ceahlau Mountains. Among the turistic objectives of interest located in the downtown area and visible from the gondola lift we remember these built by Stephen the Great in the late XV century (Royal Court, Church of Saint John and Belfry Tower), hotels Ceahlaul and Central Plaza, boulevards (Decebal, Republic Stefan cel Mare), Precista Church, municipal and county government bodies, institutions of art and education.

(323 m altitudine), iar sosirea pe Muntele Cozla (632 m altitudine). Diferenţa de altitudine dintre staţii este de circa 310 m. Linia de cablu, susţinută pe 10 stâlpi, măsoară 1915 m din care cea mai mare parte se face deasupra zonei centrale a oraşului, unde se înregistrează şi cea mai mare înălţime de la suprafaţa terenului (63 m, Bulevardul Decebal). Partea finală, deasupra versantului Muntelui Cozla, este mult mai înclinată şi mai apropiată de teren. Lângă staţia de pe Muntele Cozla se află pârtia de schi deservită la rândul ei de alte instalaţii de transport pe cablu. Instalaţia, produsă de firma austrica Doppelmayr, are 22 de gondole care circulă cu o viteză de 6 m/s (sau 21,6 km/oră). Fiecare gondolă are 8 locuri pe scaune (640 kg, greutatea pasagerilor). Capacitatea de transport este de 1.200 persoane/oră. Călătoria durează circa 6 - 8 minute. Costul unui bilet dus/întors, pentru adulţi, este de 20 lei (sau circa 4,4 euro, în 2016). Pentru grupuri şi alte categorii de oameni sunt reduceri. Din telegondolă se deschide panorama asupra oraşului Piatra Neamţ, a Muntelui Pietricica, a lacului de acumulare Bâtca Doamnei, iar în zilele senine se vede Ceahlăul. Dintre obiectivele tursitice de interes situate în zona centrală a orașului și vizibile din telegondolă amintim ansamblul construit de Ștefan cel Mare la sfârșitul secolului XV (Curtea Domnească, Biserica Sfântul ioan și Turnul Clopotniță), hotelurile Ceahlăul și Central Plaza, marile bulevarde (Decebal, Republicii, Ștefan cel Mare), Biserica Precista, instituții administrative municipale și județene, instituții de artă și învățământ.
