1. Routeburn Track Te Anau
The Routeburn Track is a world-renowned, 32 km tramping track found in the South Island of New Zealand. The track is usually completed by starting on the Queenstown side of the Southern Alps, at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu, and finishing on the Te Anau side, at the Divide, several kilometres from the Homer Tunnel to Milford Sound. The New Zealand Department of Conservation classifies this track as a Great Walk and maintains four huts along the track: Routeburn Flats Hut, Routeburn Falls Hut, Lake Mackenzie Hut, and Lake Howden Hut; in addition there is an emergency shelter at Harris Saddle. The Kepler Track is a 60 km circular tramping track which travels through the landscape of the South Island of New Zealand and is situated near the town of Te Anau. The track passes through many landscapes of the Fiordland National Park such as rocky mountain ridges, tall mossy forests, lake shores, deep gorges, rare wetlands and rivers. Te Anau is a town on the South Island of New Zealand (172 KM from Queenstown). It’s known as a gateway to Fiordland National Park and Milford Sound. Te Anau Caves feature a limestone grotto of Glowworms and an underground waterfall (Real Journeys run 1 hour tour to Glow-warm cave).

Milford Sound is an inlet (sound) in the southwest of New Zealand’s South Island (285 KM from Queenstown and 118 KM from Te Anau). The drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound is very beautiful. Eglington Valley, Mirror Lake, The Divide, Monkey Creek, Homer Tunnel are few of the attractions on the way to Milford Sound. Beautiful mountain ranges with glacier at the peak are both side of the road.

The beauty of Milford Sound doesn’t have any word. This is my little afford to showcase the trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound via Te Anau.
