After finishing the 1ST WALK Tilehurst to Pangbourne on the Thames Path we caught the train to Reading
The Reading to Tilehurst Thames Path walk starts from Reading Bridge, just a short walk from Reading Rail Station and the centre of town.
Crossed the bridge and walked the Thames Path to Caversham Court Gardens then back to Bridge Street and crossed the Thames to pick up the path on the other side of the bridge turning right down the steps off Caversham Road then walked the Thames Path to Tilehurst picked up the car from the Railway Station.

Close Up High Speed Trains! - Lineside Spotting on the ECML

Spotting from a few different lineside locations on the East Coast Mainline.
For those who aren't aware the East Coast Mainline is the route from London King's Cross to North East England & Scotland, destinations include Leeds, York, Hull, Newcastle, Edinburgh and beyond.
Having previously filmed at Abbots Ripton I decided to take a trip back there. But unfortunately the crossing has since been closed and fenced off. So we drove elsewhere in search of a good vantage point for filming. We tried Holme Crossing, which seemed a little busy and restricted in terms of views. Then found Conington Level Crossing. The crossing is quiet and allowed a good view of trains approaching from either direction. A quick disclaimer that all footage was filmed from behind the fence (of course!) At no point was I trespassing or anything ridiculous like that. Just so happens that at the crossing you get some absolutely incredible close ups of the trains passing, most of which are at high speed!
TRAINS INCLUDED: New LNER Azuma, class 91's (225 sets) & the classic HST's. Also 2x class 90's operating LNER services. A Hull Trains class 180 & a Great Western HST operating for Hull Trains seen passing Holme Crossing. Grand Central 180's. All of those are seen travelling at high speed. Then of course on the ECML expect to see some Thameslink class 700's and also includes a Freight move lead by DB Schenker 66149 + 66098.
Some great close ups and a fantastic viewing spot on the ECML!

UK - A morning in Twyford - March 2015
Scenes taken during a visit to Twyford in March 2015 before electrification took place. The steam special (1Z67) hauled by 34067 'Tangmere' was involved in a SPAD incident near Wootton Bassett later in the day. Much of the freight was Southampton traffic diverted via West London due to engineering work.

Pangbourne railway station is a railway station serving the village of Pangbourne in the county of Berkshire, and across the River Thames the village of Whitchurch-on-Thames, in Oxfordshire. The station is served by local services operated by Great Western Railway.
Pangbourne station is located close to the village centre, with main station buildings on the opposite side of the railway to the village. It has two platforms, one on each of the relief (slow) lines, whilst the fast lines pass behind the station. An hour and a bit at Reading Station. This is the first direct stop for express trains from London Paddington, services also include fasts to Paddington - calling at London Paddington only. The majority of services here are operated by First Great Western with services to Basingstoke, Taunton, Swindon and other destinations. Reading is also served by Cross Country which has services to Birmingham New Street, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Southampton. At the other end of the station, there are bay platforms which serve South West Trains with services to London Waterloo via Redhill and Wokingham. Includes:
