Chongqing day 2 street food VLOG was a success! We ate the SPICIEST hot pot EVER + tons of local sichuan/chongqing style street foods including a trip to an authentic fly restaurant!! We also paid a quick visit to the chongqing people's assembly hall! This city is PACKED with super spicy chinese street food you do NOT want to miss!
This could possibly have been the most SPICY thing I ate in China, but I am not complaining this was so full of flavor and delicious!

Join us for an INSANE street food tour in Taiwan's capital city and street food HEAVEN: Taipei!!! We are going to take you away from the tourist crowds to show you the BEST Taiwanese foods and restaurants you've never seen before! Today, we are going to eat what the LOCALS love to eat! Let's go! 加油 !
We start our epic day of eating and exploring at an UNKNOWN restaurant for the most incredible bowl of braised pork rice 滷肉饭 and tofu for breakfast. Come early, this place gets PACKED! Next, we check out a beautiful temple, Xingtian Temple 行天宫 to see Taiwanese culture in action. This temple banned the use of burning incense to combat air pollution. Awesome! Then, we take you to a spot where old concepts meet new design: Addiction Aquatic Development. Here you can have get an incredibly CHEAP deal on sushi, sashimi, grilled seafood and MORE! We also checked out the live seafood area while we were there to have TUNA. Now that we're SUPER full, we take a rest at Lin An Tai Ancestral Home, a peaceful museum and garden where you can observe one of the best preseved Chinese homes in all of Taiwan! For dessert (of course) we head to a shop that specializes in Wheel Cakes 红豆餅, one with red bean and one with custard. And how could you resist?! They are so CHEAP and FRESH! To end our CRAZY day of eating, we head to a Michelin recommended (bib gourmand) street food stall that fries meat 烤肉! We ordered beef & clams, Taiwan-style! As a tip, wash it all down with a Taiwan beer! Taipei is a food-lovers DREAM come true!

Street Food Heaven at Tonghua Night Market in Taipei, Taiwan
After a long 90km cycling ride from Taipei to Tamsui and back, my wife Thuong and I returned to Taipei, meeting a new friend and fan (Quinn) on the way back. We decided to get some awesome Taiwanese food together at the nearby Tonghua Night Market
(通化夜市), otherwise known as Linjiang Street (臨江街).
Taiwan is famous for their night markets and street food, and Quinn is an expert on the local food here in Taipei and helped introduce a lot of goodies.
We had a blast enjoying the atmosphere and different foods, including oyster omelette, dumplings, and big hot Taiwanese sausages.

Some of the BEST local Street Food in Taiwan can be found at the Taiwanese Morning Markets.The markets in Southern Taiwan have some of the best street food. I've eat Taiwanese food all over Taiwan, Street Food in Taipei, Street Food in Kaohsiung, Street Food in Tainan and many other places around the world! The night markets in Taiwan have something for everyone but the locals love to eat the freshest foods in the fresh wet markets, like this one in Chiayi, Taiwan.
We went to our local morning market the Chiayi East Market, into the bowels of this amazing food paradise to eat everything from Beef entrails soup to sweet rice cake filled with red bean. This was truly a food paradise.

Taiwan desserts is a MUST during summer visits to Taipei! It gets quite humid so you're going to want to cool off with these icy hot treats.
Taiwanese sweets we tried:
1. Tang Yuan 湯圓 - traditional sweet rice balls with filling such as red bean, sesame, peanut butter, matcha, strawberry...and more! With its mochi outer layer, it's best consumed hot! But in this video, we change up the game :)
2. Aiyu Jelly Bing 愛玉冰 - bao bing is shaved ice but with crunchier ice pieces rather than the thinly shaved ice you'll find in Taiwanese Mango Snow. Aiyu jelly is an absolute MUST! It's one of the most refreshing desserts you can get. Pair it with taro balls, tapioca balls, and sweet rice balls...it's just a texture HEAVEN.
3. Grass Jelly 仙草冰 - medicinal and herbally...grass jelly may be an acquired taste. But this video will show you how every sweet tooth can still enjoy it!
