Treungen is a village in, and the administrative centre of Nissedal municipality, Telemark county in Norway. Located just east of the village Tveitsund, it is a part of the urban area of the same name, which has a population of 361 as of 1 January 2009. The village is the sole centre of population greater than 200 in the Nissedal municipality.The Old Norse name for Treungen was «Þriðjungrinn», meaning a third part and probably refers to an old division of the village. Famous people from Treungen include Jan Gunnar Solli, international footballer.

    Heddal stave church is a stave church located at Heddal in Notodden municipality, Norway. The church is a triple nave stave church and is Norway's largest stave church. It was constructed at the beginning of the 13th century. After the reformation, the church was in a very poor condition, and a restoration took place during 1849–1851. However, because the restorers lacked the necessary knowledge and skills, yet another restoration was necessary in the 1950s. The interior is marked by the period after the Lutheran Reformation in 1536–1537 and is for a great part a result of the restoration that took place in the 1950s.

Jettegryter in Eikom, Nissedal

Wenn Sie aus dem Süden, von Kristiansand oder Arendal kommend auf der RV 41 (Telemarksveien) in Richtung Treungen fahren, kommen Sie an Haugsjåsund vorbei. Hier folgen Sie der guten Beschilderung nach Eikom zu den Jettegryter, (Gletschertöpfe/Gletschermühlen).
Die Jettegryter sind in den 50er Jahren beim Bau des Wasserkraftwerkes und der damit verbundenen Wasserumleitung freigelegt worden. Es handelt sich hier wohl um die bisher größten Gletschermühlen Norwegens.
In den letzten tausend Jahren haben rotierende Steine wie in einer Mühle diese Gletschertöpfe gebildet.
Im Sommer ist dieser Ort ein beliebtes Ziel sowohl für Einheimische, als auch für Touristen. Es befindet sich vor Ort ein Parkplatz (Schotter) der auch für Wohnmobile geeignet ist.

Trolltunga in Noorwegen

De inspannende wandeltocht van Skjeggedal naar Trolltunga is zeker de moeite waard wanneer je het uitzicht ziet. Wandelaars worden namelijk beloond met het schilderachtige uitzicht op de steenrichel die uitsteekt in het landschap en kijken uit over het meer Ringedalsvatnet en een bijna eindeloze reeks bergtoppen en dalen. Part 2 of some videos I shot in Norway during my familys road trip there.
This camping is situated close to the biggest glacier on land in Europe, Jostedalsbreen, which has a arm called Briksdalsbreen just a few kilometers from the camping. The lake you see is Oldevatnet, its water comes directly from the glacier. Just knowing it's pure glaciere water feels awesome.
