On a moon lit sky, River Tumen was gorgeous. In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of modernity of Yanchi, the river banks were decorated with lights and a special water fountain was constructed. This was not the same place in September when I visited Yanchi. Development in China id phenomenal.

SEEING THE CITY | Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
The first day of the Nomadic Mongolia tour with GAdventures is in Ulaanbaatar. In the morning we did a city tour. I got to see some of the top attractions Ulaanbaatar has to offer - Gandan Tegchenling Monestary, Bogd Khan Palace Museum, and Zaisan Memorial.
In the evening, we went to a cultural show. It was surprisingly good. I find a lot culture shows can be a little cheesy but I really enjoyed Tumen Ekh.

North Korea's sacred Mount Paektu | Asia Senses Travel
One of the most stunning sights on the Korean Peninsula, Paekdusan (Mt Paekdu) straddles the Chinese - Korean border in the far northeastern tip of the DPRK. Apart from it being the highest mountain in the country at 2744m, and an amazing geological phenomenon (it’s an extinct volcano now containing a crater lake at its centre), it is also of huge mythical importance to the Korean people. Koreans consider Mount Paektu as the place of their ancestral origin and as a sacred mountain, one of the three spirited mountains (Jirisan, Hallasan and Paektusan); the one contained in the legendary foundation of Korea.
The huge crater lake called Chon (Lake of Heaven) lies at the summit, surrounded by bare rocky crags. It is the deepest crater lake in the world, and also one of the coldest. The Lake Chon is the source of the two longest Korean rivers - Amnok (803 km) and Tumen (521 km) which serve as Sino-Korean border almost over its entire length.
