1. LAKE TITICACA on the Uros floating island
Uros Islands made up of 44 artificial island tribe, Uru located above Lake Titicaca. Uniquely, the artificial islands made of totora reeds roots (Schoenoplectus californicus). The reeds roots moored on wooden poles and then coated with reeds as thick as three meters. Uru tribe then build a House on it that is also made of reeds. ''Lake Titicaca is the highest Lake in the world with a height of 3821 m above sea level.''
2. MACHU PICCHU
'' Machu Picchu is often called the city of the lost Inca.'' This historic site, located in the ruins of a pre-Columbian Inca is located in mountainous regions at an altitude of about 2,350 mdpl. Machu Picchu is located above the Urubamba Valley in Peru, about 70 km northwest of Cuzco and is built in the style of ancient Inca stone walls with painted. Its main buildings are the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, and the room of the three Windows. The site has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site since the year 1983, Machu Picchu is also one of the seven new wonders of the world.
3. Desert Oasis HUACACHINA
The hilly undulating Huacachina desert (sand dunes). Here, usually, tourists often tried his dune buggy tours. The tourists will open large wheeled vehicles boarded at high speed driven specifically in the desert. In addition to the dune buggy, tourists can also surf on the desert by using special Board. ''An oasis in the middle of the desert is said to arise from a myth which says the water appears when a daughter was taking a shower chased the young hunters.''
4. The Valley Of The Urubamba
The Valley of the Urubamba or also known as Scared Valley is part of the Andes mountain range, adjacent to the city of Cuzco, the last before heading for Machu Picchu. In the Valley, tourists can see the cultural relics of the Incas. One of them treasuring for farming.
5. Moray (Peru's agricultural system)
Moray is one of the most visited of the Inca but the most interesting of the Sacred Valley. The amphitheater is penetrating deep into the top of the Hill was made of a series of concentric rings that go down. At any rate, experts believe, simulate different heights, allowing the Incas to experiment with different plants. The backstory to the Moray is that the Incas had a very ecological sensitivity is set. ''The greatest embodiment nonetheless Moray from the understanding of the delicate balance of Pachamama, and how he provides for a human being.''

To produce this video I spent almost 2 weeks in the Cusco region in order to provide a wide selection of activities I recommend doing on your trip to Peru. Because it was my second time after my first visit in 2012 I chose to introduce an alternative Machu Picchu experience with the Lares Trek - for this part I worked together with G Adventures and decided to extend my stay to do all the other things independently.
Cusco and the area around is full of history and beautiful landscape which makes it worth it to spend about 1-2 weeks in the region. For your time you should definitely take on some day hikes or go for one of the multi day hikes which end up taking you to Machu Picchu. What many don’t know: a multi day hike to go to Machu Picchu is the most budget friendly option if you look at the price-value ratio!
The things to do in Cusco I covered here is a selection of my personal favorites and offers a good mix of historic sites, hikes (partially in very high altitude), food experiences and panoramic views which will leave you speechless. Moreover I also focussed on some community projects which are connected to G Adventures and their NGO Planeterra.
