(EN) Kashgar or Kashi is an oasis county-level city with approximately 350,000 residents and is the westernmost Chinese city, located near the border with Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. It is the administrative centre of Kashgar Prefecture of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region which has an area of 162,000 square kilometres (63,000 sq mi) and a population of approximately 3.5 million.[3] The city's urban area covers 15 km2 (5.8 sq mi), though its administrative area extends for 555 km2 (214 sq mi). The district consists of 10 counties.

China Builds Enormous Floating Boardwalk 2X Longer Than Manhattan
First they built the Great Wall, and in recent years the Chinese seem to be obsessed with building the biggest and most daring tourist attractions around. We have seen a multitude of glass walkways and bridges opening all over the country, and on New Year’s day a new record breaking attraction opened to the public in Luodian County.
The 50 km floating walkway spans the Hongshui River, and is twice the length of Manhattan, meaning the average visitor would have to walk for 10 hours straight just to cross it.
But this feat of engineering is not meant for merely walking, it is also designed as an entertainment center, where tourists can enjoy water sports and entertainment displays.
The walkway is anchored to the river bed using 200,000 floating objects, including a gigantic rubber duck, and at night the entire construction is lit up in a dazzling display of lights and fireworks. It is hoped the attraction will bring more tourists to the area, and it seems to be working, as 60,000 people have visited already.

The Eight Trigrams Town
In the city of Tekesi, located in Xinjiang, the Uyghur autonomous region in the Western part of China, there is a Eight Trigrams town 八卦城.
According to some scholars, its construction started 800 years ago, when the famous taoist monk Qiu Chuji met with Genghis Khan. It was renovated in 1939 and is promoted as the biggest Eight Trigrams city in the world. It is completely built on the principles of I Ching and fengshui.
In the middle of the town is the Yin Yang park. There are 8 main streets, which divide the eight sides of the Bagua. Each street is 1.2 km long.Within the first ring road, there are 8 streets;within the 2nd ring road - 16 streets;within the 3rd ring road - 32 streets;within the 4rd ring road - 64 streets.
No traffic lights in this city. They say that there is no need for traffic lights...
According to one Chinese travel site, Tekesi Eight Trigram County is famous for its radial circle layout which looks like a labyrinth. It is the biggest and the most well preserved eight trigram county in the world. And also it is a place where the I ching culture is widely known. There is a strange thing in this county. That is no traffic lights can be seen here. No matter which direction you choose to head for , you can reach your destinations at last because the roads are closely linked to each other.
The town is enlisted in the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest Bagua city in the World.
