ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA // I GREW UP HERE.
Adelaide. I remember always looking forward to leaving this city to travel the world; it never really seemed like there was much going on. Boy have things changed! It's quaint, it's beautiful. The food is good the vibe is easy, and the sites are charming, oh - and people are nice.
I went over from Brisbane to Adelaide to celebrate my BFFs birthday - which happened to also fall on the same weekend as R&B Vines. BEST - DAY - EVER. It was held at Mclaren Vale - one of SA's wine regions. And then I ended up extending my trip by a full week so I could travel around a bit more and show you a bit more of what we've got. In this episode, we hang around Henley Beach and Adelaide CBD.
I know that as cabin crew, no one ever really went out and saw much of Adelaide. Could have much to do with the timing of the flight, but also could have much to do with the fact that few people have ever known what to do, where to go, what to eat and what to see in my old little town. I mean - apart from the Malls Balls that is ;)
Hopefully in the next episodes, I'll show you more. It's definitely worth the time and the taste buds.

#Australia #Sydney #Canberra #Melbourne #Queensland #Brisbane #Adelaide #Viajes #Vlog #goldcoast

Minerva Hills National Park - Spectacular Volcanic Mountains
Minerva Hills is a group of mountain peaks and plateaus just north of the town of Springsure in central Queensland. Mount Zamia within the park, makes a spectacular backdrop to this small town. Roads are available to some of the peaks in the park.
Most of the peaks and plateaus are remnants of a once active volcanic area, with the central volcano plugs being all that is left. The highest and most spectacular peak in the park is Mt Thomas rising some 330 metres surrounded by sheer flanks and topped by a plateau. Many other volcanic features are present within the park including plugs, dykes and domes.
In the grassy open woodlands, mountain coolibah, silver-leaved ironbark and gum-topped bloodwood tower over macrozamia and grasstrees. Dry rainforest featuring figs, stinging trees, pittosporums and vines flourish in sheltered gorges and at the base of the sheer cliffs.
Spinifex grasslands dotted with wattles grow on the mountain summits. The park also supports spotted gum forests and low-lying heath.
Stone scatters and rock art are historical evidence of the Kariai people who lived in the surrounding area, which included the site of Springsure, at the time Europeans settled the area.

The Best Wine in McLaren Vale - Grandeur Wellington
The Best Wine in McLaren Vale - Grandeur Wellington
It is Grandeur Wellingtons goal and mission to produce world class wines from some of Australia’s oldest vines planted in McLaren Vale South Australia. We are happy to challenge the old world with new wine making and traditional techniques showcasing a clean and green environmental foot print. It has taken many years from the first plantings in 1838 for South Australia to make its mark on the world stage. As history tells us French domination came to an end at the battle of Waterloo Napoleon was finally defeated in 1815 by the “Duke of Wellington” an English commander who won this famous victory.
