Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto, Japan- Known As Steam Train Heaven
SL Hitoyoshi runs only once a day on selected days between Kumamoto and Hitoyoshi. The train stops at Shin-Yatsushiro, Yatsuhiro, Sakamoto, Shiroishi, Isshochi, Watari and Hitoyoshi and the total journey time is 149mins.
After Yatsushiro Station, the train goes on the Hisatsu Line and the scenic rail journey overlooking the Kuma River begins.

Yamada-Machi in Iwate prefecture, Tohoku Region. This is the Temple and the neighborhood where I stayed 10 days during my first volunteer project in the Tsunami affected area. I worked in a kindergarten about 10 minutes away from here by car... One of the most impressive experiences I've ever lived started here. I miss the people I met in Yamada and I hope their hearts keep strong :) Best wishes from Costa Rica!! :D

I dedicate my Japan photo slideshow of my second visit to Japan to my first substantial and long-term girlfriend, Sayaka Kayama. We visited her home country 10 years ago; it was my first time in Japan. Our relationship eventually ended -- everything happens as it should. I love my life now, but that doesn't mean that I don't hold in fondness the time and experiences that we shared together. I appreciate the time spent with all my ex-girlfriends, they were all special, but she will always be my 初恋 (first love). You will always be inside my heart.
