Zunyi is a prefecture-level city in northern Guizhou province, People's Republic of China, situated between the provincial capital Guiyang to the south and Chongqing to the north, also bordering Sichuan to the northwest. Along with Guiyang and Liupanshui, it is one of the most important cities of the province. The built-up area made of three urban districts of the city, Huichuan, Honghuagang, and Bozhou, had a population of 1,095,189 people; and the whole prefecture, including 14 county-level administration area as a whole, has a population of 6,127,009 at the 2010 census.

  • 2. Shuanghe Cave of Suiyang Suiyang County
    Shuanghedong , is the longest cave in China, in Asia, and the 6th longest in the world in 2018.It is located near the town of Wenquan in Suiyang County, Guizhou Province.This gypsum and dolomite cave has carbon dioxide levels of approximately 400ppm, with a constant temperature of about 13 degrees Celsius year round. The cave contains numerous waterfalls, and at least three underground rivers, some of which contain cave shrimp, and fish weighing several pounds. Also found, have been tadpoles, frogs, salamanders, insects, spiders, bats, leeches, blind fish, and mushrooms. Since 1987, at least 20 expeditions from France and Japan have explored the cave.

    Maotai or Moutai is a brand of baijiu, a distilled Chinese liquor , made in the town of Maotai in China's Guizhou province. Produced by the state-owned Kweichow Moutai Company, the beverage is distilled from fermented sorghum and now comes in several different varieties.Maotai originated during the Qing Dynasty , when northern Chinese distillers introduced advanced techniques to local processes to create a distinctive type of baijiu. Thereafter Maotai was produced at several local distilleries. During the Chinese Civil War, People's Liberation Army forces camped at Maotai and partook of the local liquor. Following the Communist victory in the war, the government consolidated the local distilleries into one state-owned company, Kweichow Moutai . It became a popular drink at state functions ...
