Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, Big Island, Hawaii (4K Aerial Drone & GoPro Footage)
Tour of one of the most UNIQUE beaches in the world. The black sand beach at Punaluu in Hawaii. Witness its beautiful icy blue waters, contrast with the jet black sands. Although the beach isn't suitable, you just can't get enough of it's natural beauty, and contrasting colours.
The Punaluu black sand sand is also home to many beautiful sea turtles (honu) who come to the black sands to soak in the sun.
Although it may be tempting, remember you're not allowed to touch these protected turtles and remove any black sand from the beach.

Pohoiki black sand beach big island Hawai'i
Pohoiki is the newest black sand beach. It was created by the 2018 Leilani lava flow. The sand that was created continues to fill in a once surfable bay where boats were launched to fish the verdant waters of Hawai'i island's south east coast. Residents miss what was there before but appreciate that all was not lost in the flow.

Big Island (Hawai'i Island), Hawaii 4K (UHD)
Recorded: May 2019
This is one of the three Hawaiian islands that I decided to visit. I spent three days there, drove 345 miles by car and visited, incl. the places described below.
I think that three days on such a large island is a bit too little. The distances between the points to travel are longer than on other Hawaiian islands.
Big Island, or Hawaiʻi Island is the largest and the southeasternmost island located in the U.S. state of Hawaii. The island of Hawaiʻi is the third largest island in Polynesia, behind the two main islands of New Zealand. Administratively, the whole island encompasses Hawaiʻi County. The county seat and largest city is Hilo where I lived.

Hidden Hawaii Beach Adventure
We set out to find an out of the way beach in West Hawaii that we could jump into the water and get away from it all. Join us as we hit the Explore button and wander down a beach to find out what was at the end...
1. IF you go-keep in mind to take a wide berth of the sea turtles as they haul up on the beach to sleep.
2. Do not leave any trash - pack out what you bring in - this is not a state beach.
3. Don't wear chemical sunscreen in the water or spray sunscreen on the beach.
4. If you are looking for some pretty awesome beaches that are more famous, check out our video Green, Black and White Sand Beaches.

Luxury Big Island by Harold Clarke | Hale Mehana: 53 Acre Luxury Ranch With 360 Degree Ocean Views
Located in the prestigious Waiki’i Ranch and also their largest lot, this 53 acre property seamlessly combines home and nature into an architectural masterpiece. Step inside the immense 7,004 sq. ft. interior living area consisting of 5 beds and 5.5 baths and you’ll quickly realize this home’s superior craftsmanship is unlike anything else in Hawaii. The cedar logs making up Hale Mehana were chiseled by hand for a perfect fit, each one was individually hand selected from the forests of Canada without a single nail used to join them. The immaculate attention to detail puts the cost of constructing this home at over $20 million dollars as the home was built first in Canada and then shipped to Hawaii to be reassembled to perfection making this the best value in the state for a true luxury ranch property.

Mau'umae Beach, Big Island Hawaii HD1080p
Mau'umae Beach is a secluded, sandy beach with a couple of volcanic rock reefs that extend from the shoreline. Mauumae Beach is good for snorkeling and enjoying quiet moments on a secluded beach. Although I recommend arriving early, the beach will be shaded from the mountains until a couple hours after sunrise.
Mau'umae Beach is a bit difficult to find, but the payoff is enjoying a beach all to yourself.
