Green Lake Park - Best Parks In Seattle
Green Lake Park is one of my favorite parks in Seattle. This north Seattle lakefront park features lots of open space, a 2.8-mile loop trail, and a great playground for the kids. Green Lake is also a great place for a summer picnic, swim, or boating. If you live in or are visiting Seattle, you should definitely check out Green Lake Park.

Seattle with Kids | Top things to do in Seattle | Seattle Top Tips
We believe, Seattle is quite an underrated place and was a big surprise for us! Here are the Top Things I liked doing in Seattle.
#1. Space Needle (00:20 ) - The Space Needle is a tall tower near downtown Seattle. It was constructed in the Seattle Center for the 1962 World Fair. This is a must visit place in settle. City pass covers 2 visits which you can plan for daylight timings and evening timing. In clear days you can view the Olympic Mountains and Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker and Elliott Bay from space needle.
#2. Pike Place Market (1:15) - First Starbucks, Piroshky Piroshky, La Panier - Pike place market is an old fish and fresh produce farmers market overlooking the Elliott Bay waterfront. You can visit the first Starbucks here in this market. You can also do a free walking tour which starts from very close to this market. Piroshky Piroshky is a must visit Russian bakery just beside Starbucks. Do try their Apple cinnamon roll.
#3. Mount Rainier (2:49) - Must visit place if you have a full day in hand while visiting Seattle. It takes time to reach here and you need your own transport or you can take a tour. It takes roughly 2-3 hours to reach this place and you should plan to spend as much time possible. Do try Blueberry Pie at Copper creek restaurant ( while coming back :-)
#4. Woodland Park Zoo (3:44) - Good for half a day. We saw lion, penguins, komodo dragon, tropical birds, flamingos, giraffes etc
#5. Pacific Science Center (4:58) - Interesting activities for kids as well as adults
#6. Harbour Cruise (5:47) - Amazing view of Seattle skyline
Bonus Tip (6:14) - You can save money with CityPass if you plan to cover the 5 attractions if offers. Here's the link for more details

Seattle Center Armory - A Place of Evolution
The stately building, named Seattle Center Armory, continues to serve generations of visitors -- updating its physical space and peeling back the thick Armory walls to reveal its historic roots. The Seattle Field Artillery Armory, built in 1939, has stood the test of time, evolving over the many years as a community gathering place and affordable family destination. Originaly built in 1939 as the old Armory Building. It housed the 146th Field Artillery and its half-ton tanks. The basement of the Armory still has markings from the old firing range and an unfinished swimming pool intended for the recruits. In 1941, Duke Ellington played on stage for the University of Washington's Junior Prom.
For the 1962 World's Fair, the Armory was reconfigured into the first vertical shopping mall, called the Food Circus. It just pre-dated Northgate Mall, which was the first indoor mall in the United States. In the early 1970’s, the Food Circus was renamed Center House after some minor renovations. In 1985, the Seattle Children's Museum moved into the first floor of the building and expanded their space in 1995, building a giant toy mountain for the newly created Kenneth and Maureen Alhadeff Exhibit Center. At the same time, Center House was renovated and reconfigured to emphasize public programming, such as signature events, free family entertainment and cultural festivals. In December 2000, the Kennedy Center designated the Center House Stage as an Imagination Celebration National Site, only the fifth location in the nation to be designated. Today, over 3,000 free public performances occur in Seattle Center Armory each year.

Things to do in Seattle
Seattle is a seaport city on the west coast of United States of America. It is known to be the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. This City is worth to visit as they have lots of beautiful sceneries and activities to offer. My family enjoyed so much. In Seattle you can visit their downtown where you can see and ride on Space Needle, MOPOP Museum, Chihuly Garden & Ride the Ducks. There are places in downtown that has free space for artists where they can showcase their talents such as portraiture, playing violin, and comedy magician. Pike Place Market and Westfield Southcenter Mall are also worth to visit. Of course we went to our old time favourite Jollibee!! My kids love it so much. We also ate at Chowking and Red Ribbon; great Filipino food indeed. This family vacation was absolutely beautiful and joyful.
Driving Downtown - Bellevue 4K - Seattle USA
Driving Downtown - Bellevue Washington USA - Season 1 Episode 18.
Starting Point: NE 8th St .
Bellevue is a city in the Eastside region of King County, Washington, United States, across Lake Washington from Seattle. As Seattle's largest suburb, Bellevue has variously been characterized as an edge city, a boomburb, or satellite city.[5][6] The city had a population of 122,363 at the 2010 census.
Prior to 2008, downtown Bellevue underwent rapid change, with many high rise projects under construction, and was relatively unaffected by the economic downturn. It is currently the second largest city center in Washington state with over 35,000 employees and 5,000 residents.[7] Based on per capita income, Bellevue is the 6th wealthiest of 522 communities in the state of Washington.[8] In 2008, Bellevue was named number 1 in CNNMoney's list of the best places to live and launch a business,[9] and in 2010 was again ranked as the 4th best place to live in America.[10] The name Bellevue is French for beautiful view.[11] In 2014, Bellevue was ranked as the 2nd best place to live by USA Today.[12]
Recurring cultural events
Bellevue is the site of the popular annual Bellevue Arts and Crafts Fair (originally Pacific Northwest Arts and Crafts Fair), held since 1947 at the end of July. The biennial Bellevue Sculpture Exhibition draws thousands of visitors to the Downtown Park to view up to 46 three-dimensional artworks from artists around the country. In celebration of its strawberry farming history, Bellevue holds an annual Strawberry Festival.[35] The Bellevue 24-Hour Relay has also been hosted every July in Bellevue Downtown Park.
Places of interest
The Bellevue Arts Museum first opened in 1975, then moved to Bellevue Square in 1983. In 2001, the museum moved into its own building, designed by Steven Holl. The museum subsequently ran into financial difficulties and was forced to close to the public in 2003. After a lengthy fundraising campaign, a remodel, and a new mission to become a national center for the fine art of craft and design, the museum reopened on June 18, 2005 with an exhibition of teapots.[36] The Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art - now closed - contained one of the largest doll collections in the world—more than a thousand dolls—displayed on two floors of a Victorian-style building.[37] The KidsQuest Children's Museum is located in Marketplace @ Factoria. The museum's primary visitors are mothers and care givers with children from pre-crawlers to 12 years of age. Its 10,000-square-foot (930 m2) space houses play and discovery areas, exhibits, offices, educational activities and classroom space. Near Interstate 405 is Meydenbauer Center, a convention center that brings corporate meetings and charity events to the downtown area. Meydenbauer also includes a 410-seat theater which attracts operas, ballets, and orchestral performances.[38]
Sports and recreation
Since the 1970s, the city has taken an active role in ensuring that its commercial development does not overwhelm its natural land and water resources.[39] Today, the Bellevue Parks and Community Services Department manages more than 2,500 acres (10 km2) of parks and open spaces, including the Downtown Park and the Bellevue Botanical Garden, as well as several playgrounds, beach parks, and trails. More than 5,500 Bellevue residents participate in volunteer activities through this department annually.[40]
Bellevue was home to the American Basketball Association team, the Bellevue Blackhawks. The Blackhawks in 2005, despite being ranked 13th in the league, made it to the championship game in front of 15,000 fans in Little Rock, Arkansas.[41] The team has been inactive since 2006.[42]

Washington Park, Anacortes, WA, USA
Beautiful views of Guemes Channel and Burrows Bay as seen from Washington Park and also the park's famous leaning tree (one of Washington state's most photographed tree) in the historic town of Anacortes on Fidalgo Island in Skagit County, Washington, USA during our trip on Sep. 3, 2011.
Washington Park is located on a peninsula at the western tip of Fidalgo Island. The 220-acre city park features camping, a boat launch, and day use picnic sites. The park juts into Rosario Strait on the western edge of Anacortes, offering territorial views. A scenic 2.3-mile one-way loop road winds through the park's forested hills and meadows with views of the San Juan Islands and Olympic Mountains. The park offers sweeping views of Guemes Channel on one side and Burrows Bay on the other.
At Sunset Beach, on the north shore, there is a boat launch, restrooms, reservable picnic shelter, playground and open play area. There are 75 campsites, restrooms, showers and laundry services in the overnight area. Picnic sites and car pullouts provide beach access along Green Point, the west shoreline. The loop road is used by cars, joggers, bicyclists and walkers.
Anacortes is the gateway to the San Juan and Vancouver Islands. Downtown Anacortes has over 125 life-sized murals painted by local resident Bill Mitchell. He painted the murals over the last 25 years from historical photographs. His art is on display all over Downtown buildings with depictions of historic scenes. Pick up a free mural map at the Visitor Center located at 819 Commercial Avenue as it is a wonderful way to discover Anacortes.
Anacortes is located 18 miles west of Mount Vernon and about one hour drive from Bellingham to the north and Seattle to the south.
Driving directions to the park: From I-5 take Highway 20 West. Enter Anacortes on Spur 20 and take Commercial Avenue to 12th Street. Turn left on 12th and follow the signs (about 3 miles) to Washington Park.

Kerry Park (Seattle)
Kerry Park is a small public park and viewpoint on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, Washington, United States. It overlooks Downtown Seattle and is located along West Highland Drive between 2nd Avenue West and 3rd Avenue West. The park's view is considered to be the most iconic view of the city skyline, with the prominent Space Needle at the center, Elliott Bay to the west, and Mount Rainier in the background.
The park encompasses 1.26 acres (0.51 ha) and includes a railing and several benches facing south towards the skyline. A stairway on the west end of the park connects below to West Prospect Street and the Bayview-Kinnear Park, which has a small playground. Kerry Park is named after the couple lumberman and business magnate Albert S. Kerry and his wife Catherine. They lived nearby, and donated the land to the city in 1927 so that all who stop here may enjoy [its] view.
At the center of Kerry Park is Changing Form, a steel sculpture by artist Doris Totten Chase that stands 15 feet (4.6 m) high and was installed in 1971 with donations from Kerry's children. The sculpture is hollow and is popular as a play area for children and as a framing device for photographers. That view from Kerry Park encompasses downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, the West Seattle peninsula, Bainbridge Island, and Mount Rainier.
The park is sometimes incorrectly referred to by local denizens as Highland Park, a reference to Highland Drive, which runs east–west across Queen Anne Hill.
The view from the park is often used as the backdrop for television news segments on Seattle, as well as other media depictions of the city. Kerry Park was also featured in the opening credits of the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You, and in Frasier as the view from the titular character's apartment.
