The BEST PLACE to RENT KIMONO/YUKATA in Tokyo + Walking in Kimono and Things to see in ASAKUSA #63
On our 3rd day, we scheduled a trip to #Asakusa, Taito, Japan. Here we are about to experience wearing a Japanese #Kimono / Yukata for a whole day. This is the best place to rent kimono or yukata in Japan. Even the local or Japanese visits this place to do it. We booked this beforehand when we were still in Manila via KLOOK, hence we were expected to arrive at the time we scheduled.
While wearing our KIMONO, we explored the whole ASAKUSA and visited famous spots there like Nakamise Shopping Center, Sensoji, Kappabashi and more.
Back at the shop, we did a #Purikura session, which is a Japanese photo booth.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Kimono Fitting〜
Would you like to stroll around the streets and neighborhoods of Tokyo in a kimono, and maybe take a lot of photos in the process? Surely a nice kimono will go well with cherry blossoms, or a temple or shrine in the background. You don’t have to worry about not having your own kimono or not knowing how to wear one, as there are kimono rental shops that are happy to offer a hassle-free kimono-wearing experience to tourists. In summer, they also rent out yukata, which are made of lighter, thinner material than regular kimonos. Here are some reasonably priced shops to check out:

Okay WOW so I wanted to use the song below at the very end but YT said the copyright was so intense they had to block my entire video from the world. But when I checked, the song was allowed to be played. For some reason, my video didn't allow it. I had to go back and edit the end with the new song smh. Pls toss a like for my sanity ty

Muslim women can rent 'wagara' hijabs to match kimonos in Kyoto
For many female tourists visiting Japan from abroad, renting a beautiful kimono for a photo shoot or to enjoy a leisurely stroll in a traditional Japanese neighborhood, a Japanese garden or perhaps on the grounds of a famous temple or shrine is a popular activity, and one which truly allows them to get a sense of experiencing the best of Japanese culture.
Kyoto is particularly rich with opportunities to rent kimonos, and rental shops catering to tourists continue to open around the city.
Kimono rental shop Yumeyakata in Kyoto understood that Muslim women could enjoy the experience even more if their hijabs did not clash or stand out in contrast with the kimonos they were renting. Therefore, as a new item available in their shop, they have begun renting out specially made hijabs printed in wagara (Japanese pattern) designs which perfectly match their kimonos.
Yumeyakata already has a lineup of 20 wagara hijabs in patterns appropriate for the spring season such as sakura (cherry blossom) or yukiwa (snow ring), and expect to have an additional 50 designs and fabrics including lace for their summer lineup.
[ENGSUB] Tokyo Story (東京物語 )| 1953 | Ozu Yasujirō | 1080p Full Movie
Tokyo Story (東京物語) is a 1953 Japanese drama film directed by Yasujirō Ozu and starring Chishū Ryū and Chieko Higashiyama. It tells the story of an aging couple who travel to Tokyo to visit their grown children. The film contrasts the behavior of their children, who are too busy to pay them much attention, with that of their widowed daughter-in-law, who treats them with kindness.
Ozu and screenwriter Kōgo Noda wrote the script in 103 days, loosely basing it on the 1937 American film, Make Way for Tomorrow, directed by Leo McCarey. Noda suggested adapting the film, which Ozu had not yet seen. Ozu used many of the same cast and crew members that he had worked with for years. Released in Japan in 1953, it did not immediately gain international recognition and was considered too Japanese to be marketable by Japanese film exporters. It was screened in London in 1957 where it won the inaugural Sutherland Trophy the following year, and received praise from US film critics after a 1972 screening in New York City.
Tokyo Story is widely regarded as Ozu's masterpiece and is often cited as one of the greatest films ever made. In 2012, it was voted the best film of all time in a poll of film directors by Sight & Sound magazine.
