Grandfather, father, and I agreed to take an adventure trip - Sekumpul Waterfall Trekking Tour. We explored the Hidden Village in north of Bali, discovered the most amazing hidden Waterfall ” Combination of 7 waterfalls”, and visit Baliage village ” Traditional Village where mostly original Balinese people stay here! We witnessed a Balinese old Bamboo House, plus the local seafood restaurant for lunch. We got to taste a traditional meal from the village.
With our experiene, we can say that you'll get to pass through several local peoples houses, a beautiful rice field, and many fruit trees around the village. Locals in these areas do like to grow trees. You'll be blown away from how beautiful their lands are! By the way, there are durian and rambutan trees everywhere. Huge spiders are everywhere, yet they do not bite you at all. You can pet them if you want to!
This was an amazing experience for all of us! In our opinion, you will be able to understand and get to see what Bali is all about!

MUNDUK BALI | BANYUMALA TWIN WATERFALLS (travel vlog)
#Munduk #Banyumala #Twinwaterfalls
Hello All! Join us in this vlog as we take a trip to a place called Munduk in Northern Bali. This vlog features Jatiluwih Rice terraces, Banyumala (Twin waterfall), Twin lakes and our beautiful homestay in Munduk. We love taking road trips on our bike to explore new places as it gives us more of a feel for the place, and Northern Bali sure didn’t disappoint us. The landscape up north is much more different than the landscape in southern Bali, we really enjoyed the abundance of rice terraces and jungles that we drove by, oh and not to forget the beautiful black sand beach that we stumbled upon by accident. I hope this vlog can give you a quick view of what it’s like up north although I highly recommend you go check it out for yourself, as this is a must-see place in Bali!!!

About me:
Hi my name is Lana,
I come from the north of New Zealand.
I made the decision to quit my job as a nurse and go traveling. I enjoy slow travel and spending more time in each city to get a feel for the culture and how the locals truly live. Traveling can be hard when you don't have the information you need, especially as a tourist, the prices of things are usually heightened. My vlogs will show you how you too can travel cheaply, less touristy and how to travel full time.
My aim is to show you the realness of traveling, and to give you the information that you need as a traveller.
So I hope you can follow me on my journey to see this lovely world of ours!

BALI GUIDE: LUXE BALI // DAY 2
One of the things I love about staying at an all-inclusive luxury resort like Munduk Moding Plantation Resort is the activities they feature! AND they’re included in the package. This place was so great that you didn’t actually have to leave the resort to get a taste of Bali and its local goodies. They included things like a Coffee Plantation Tour and Horse Riding among many other things.
One thing that I loved was that it is SUSTAINABLE. From the salad items served at their restaurant, to their coffee beans, to their staff, this establishment is a contributing asset to its surroundings. Being a bit of an environmental nerd, I tend to always have the effects of a company to its environment and its people. It was super satisfying to know that not only did this resort lift the local economy, but that it places its resources on a pedestal.
Secondly…we had a butler! Whaaaaat! I gotta say, this was a first for me. To have our personal butler was quite the treat! Putu is local to the area and generously shared his wealth of knowledge with us. He also loved a laugh, so we really enjoyed his company. And it doesn’t stop there. One of the activities was to do a tour of the resort, from top to bottom. Not only did he show us around, but I swear this guy’s knowledge of all things local-vegetation related was off the charts. Best of all, he related all of his knowledge to stories of his upbringing.
NOW. What can I say about the weather. Okay, it was a little nippy, but nothing that the outdoor hot tub couldn’t fix. If you’re going to visit around December to January, bring a couple of sweaters and prepare for a bit fo cool air. It was pretty overcast on this day, so if one of your sole purposes to visit this resort is to take epic infinity pool pictures overlooking an endless Balinese horizon, consider that December to January may not get you exactly that. I believe May to July will be more like the season for Instagram photos.
Anyhoo, this was our Day 2 stay at the luxury resort! Hope you enjoy discovering with us :)

The beans are eaten by an animal but not fully digested. They are harvested from the poo and then turned into this luxury coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker but I couldn't not try it!

Git Git Waterfall in Singaraja, Bali

Gitgit Waterfall is a beautiful tourist destination in north part of Bali. Gitgit waterfall is located in the plateau area and it is surrounded by tropical tree and emits the constantly natural water debit during the year. Waterfall voice around the charming nature was amazing and it was the separate attraction which can be enjoyed by each visitor who comes to visit. There are some plantations protecting the rain forest around the waterfall and in this place we often met the wild monkey to get the water from this waterfall.
A visit to the waterfall at Gitgit should be on every tourist's list.
It is about nine kilometres from Singaraja towards the south.
Although the winding road is steep and you have to walk the last part, it is accessible by car or motorbike.
You can park your vehicle at a parking lot on the Denpasar to Singaraja road from where you can see the waterfall.
To get closer, you will need to walk.
The path can be considered in two halves.
The first part is a stepped concrete path bordered by trees and shrubs on one side and a myriad of colourful shops on the other.
Halfway along the scene changes and on both sides you can see coffee and clove trees.
It is a refreshing experience to walk in this quiet area where the birds take turns to sing.
The air is cool and gradually gets colder a you approach the waterfall.
A short distance from the waterfall, the fine water spray will cool your body.
Sometimes the atmosphere will become misty.
The waterfall is sixty metres high and as the water falls, it looks like white clouds falling down the mountain one after another.
The falling water almost completely covers the rockface of the fall. If your camera is able, try taking some long exposure photographs.

Bali Villa Sartori (North Bali) - Your Luxury Mountain Retreat above Lovina
This luxury mountain retreat villa in North Bali certainly has the 'Wow' factor. It is built into the dramatic view -1,025 metres above sea level - in Melaka (Kayu Putih), a traditional North Balinese village. Perched so high in the mountain that sometimes it is shrouded by clouds, this luxury villa offers panoramic mountain, valley and ocean views to take the breath away.
One of its most dramatic features is a 10 metre infinity lap swimming pool, along the viewing edge of the property plus an upstairs jacuzzi on the large viewing patio.
The Villa is about six kilometres up the mountain, through the village of Kalibukbuk, to the village of Melaka, about 25 minutes above the tourist centre of Lovina, which is some 8 kilometres west of the former Indonesian capital Singaraja.
This remarkable villa is a scenic 3-hour drive from Denpasar's Ngurah Rai airport, which is like seeing an overview of the real Bali along the way.
You can seem more great pix of this villa, and another seafront one we have, at:
Surrounded by nature (Kayu Putih means 'white wood'), this unique villa, described as 'daring and bold' by visitors, is adjacent to a beautiful temple, burial ground for a long forgotten Balinese King, and shaded by a huge sacred tree. Unlike many other frequently used Bali temples, Pura Pendum is only used for ceremonies twice a year.
This beautiful mountain villa is about 1.5 kilometres further up the mountain from the renowned five-star Damai Resort and its altitude makes it a comfortable five degrees cooler than on the coast below. Surrounded by palm and teak trees, natural jungle beauty and aromatic clove plantations,
Bali Villa Sartori (North Bali) is an eco-tourist's delight. It is, however, just 25 minutes from the restaurants, bars, musical entertainment, shopping, local markets, fishing and beachfront dolphin tours offered by nearby Lovina.
Contact: info@balideluxvillas - or Skype: balideluxvillas
For guests who enjoy tours and activities, the villa is also nearby to such north coast attractions as Menjangan Island in Bali's national park, famous for its world-class SCUBA diving and snorkeling (better than the Barrier Reef, according to one Australian).
Or perhaps you would like to visit the coral reclamation beach at Pemuteran to the west, which is like swimming in an aquarium. There are also spectacular waterfalls(Sekumpul, Les, Git Git), trek around volcanic lakes (Lake Buyan, Tamblingan, and Beratan), hot springs, a turtle farm, a pearl farm, coffee plantations, golfing in a volcano's caldera about 2 hours away, and even mountain trekking and spiritual temple tours available.
With Balinese and Javanese style interior decor, this luxury hideaway has three bedrooms, each with their own en suite bathroom, two with more than king-sized beds and one with two singles. There are also two traditional Indonesian 'day beds' - one in the study and one in the main living area - so the villa can sleep and accommodate up to 8 people, if needed.
Group bookings of 6-8 people are the most economical as the 'per head' cost is lower. The main bedroom offers particularly spectacular views through windows across the front and has an exclusive entrance door to its own 'private garden' and private gazebo, to the rear of the villa. Downstairs there is even a large media and games room.
There is a currently a booking special for guest who book 7 nights (they get one of the nights free) and for guests who book 30 nights (they get 3 of these nights free).
