V1 Rocket site. Bataille Bois des Huit, Hazebrouck. France.
The V1 rocket, vengeance weapon, or `flying bomb` was the scourge of london and the south coast of the UK in 1944/45. In this video, i pay a visit to one of these early ` ski sites` at Huit Rues, near Hazebrouck in Northern france. The site is very overgrown, but fairly well accessible. ( no need to trespass or sneek around lol. )There are quite a lot of signs telling you what the site was all about. Thanks for watching !!
A couple of links, to info about this site and about the V1`s below.

V1 Launch Site, Hazebrouck, France
While I was over in Belgium and France I thought I would take a look around the Hazebrouck site where they launched some of the V1 aircrafts from. here are some pictures on some of the stuff that is still standing. Its an Incredible place and to see that it is all still there is fascinating.

The V1 site, Hazebrouck, France.
A tour (in 2010 so a bit old) of the V1 site, Hazebrouck, France. Hidden in a forest to the south west of Hazebrouck, This V1 site is relatively intact even though the area was bombed quite extensively.
As noted in the video, I think this site is a local meeting point for men so if visiting the site, take care walking around the woods and in particular if you plan on entering any of the bunkers. I was considering walking into one bunker while explaining its construction only to stop the camera...2 seconds later a man appeared from inside the bunker doing up his trouser zip.
