In this aerial video I would like to present you Prague the city where I was born and where I spend most of my life.
Prague beauty is very hard to explain by words, everywhere you look there's always something new to see, artists performing in the streets and an atmosphere that takes you away. Everything is so old and beautiful, it is a marvel of architecture and culture.
In video about Prague you can see:
The Charles Bridge It spans the Vltava river and is adorned with many statues of the saints, making its visit an unique experience
Prague Castle which has been a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia. It is also the largest ancient castle in the world.
The Emmaus monastery as well as Charles bridge were founded by king Charles IV, This monastery is unique because it was the first place where ceremonies were not held in Latin but in a local language. It was allowed by pope in a condition that it will be the only monastery of this kind in the empire.
The Czech Prague National Theatre which is known as the alma mater of Czech opera, and as the national monument of Czech history and art. The National Theatre belongs to the most important Czech cultural institutions, with a rich artistic tradition, which helped to preserve and develop the most important features of the nation–the Czech language and a sense for a Czech musical and dramatic way of thinking.
The Castle Vyšehrad is fortified Castle with a lot of legends. Vyšehrad was also the place of the first settlement which later became Prague
Statue of Kafka - Rotating head by famous Czech artist David Černý. The 42 mobile tiers of eleven-metre-tall sculpture align to form the face of the famous Czech writer Franz Kafka.
The Old Town Square which features buildings belonging to various architectural styles, including the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Týn, which has been the main church of this part of the city since the 14th century. Its characteristic towers are 80 m high. The Baroque St. Nicholas Church is another church located in the square. Prague Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock mounted on the Old Town Hall. The clock was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still in operation. The tower of the Old Town Hall is open to the public and offers panoramic views of the Old Town. The square's center is home to a statue of religious reformer Jan Hus, who was burned at the stake for his beliefs in Constance. This led to the Hussite Wars. The statue known as the Jan Hus Memorial was erected on 6 July 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary of his death.
Every step you discover something new and every corner tells a story of the past.

Prague zoo celebrates birth of baby Silvery Gibbon
(14 Aug 2018) PRAGUE ZOO CELEBRATES BIRTH OF BABY SILVERY GIBBON
Eight days after its birth in captivity, a rare newborn Silvery Gibbon has gone on public display at the Prague Zoo in the Czech Republic.
The birth is the second successful one to parents Alangalang and Flip.
The pair previously gave birth to the first Silvery Gibbon ever born in captivity three years ago.
The gibbons, known for practicing lifelong monogamy and their distinctively small, intense faces, number fewer than 4,000 in the wild.
Vitek Lukas, the curator of primates at Prague Zoo welcomed the new arrival saying it was of critical importance to the breeding program of the species, which is native to Java in Indonesia.
Typically gibbons live in family groups where the young ones stay with their parents until the age of about six.
For now the baby gibbon remains unnamed until its sex is known.

The end of the Prague Spring 1968 (Documentary, 2008)
In the spring of 1968, a breath of freedom blew through the Czech Republic and raised hope throughout Europe.
With the so-called Prague Spring, a socialism with a human face was born. An expression for the efforts of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia to impose a liberalization and democratization program.

The documentary reminds us of this tragedy in the heart of Europe.
Filmmaker Peter Heller places the events of the time, in front of the radio building on Wenceslas Square in Prague, at the centre of his reflections. Prague Radio played a central role, as it was here that resistance was articulated and organized by Jiri Dienstbier. Twenty years later, he became Václav Havel's foreign minister.
Film director Jirí Menzel, who received in 1967 the Oscar for the best foreign-language film for Liebe nach Fahrplan, was censored and banned from working at the time.
Peter Heller's film is framed by a tragic love story. A West German student falls in love with a Ukrainian girl and comes to Prague on the day of the invasion - after all, the Prague Spring also offered opportunities for a love beyond borders - for a love between East and West. Politics and its leaders, such as Alexander Dubcek and his liberal ideas, are of little interest to the student. His sweetheart is waiting for him at Prague Central Station. On their way from there, they get into the tank barricades in front of the radio building. The 20-year-old art student is seriously injured - a shot penetrates his pelvis. He will remain disabled for life. 40 years later, Liuba and Hubert meet again...

CZECH REPUBLIC: RISE IN PROSTITUTION LEADS TO BABIES BEING ABANDONED
Czech/Nat
A big rise in prostitution in the Czech Republic has led to hundreds of babies being abandoned.
Prostitutes, many of them poor Gypsy women, are giving birth to children and dumping them in orphanages.
But because many are the children of Gypsy women, few people are willing to adopt them for fear of racism.
This orphanage in Teplice, an impoverished town in industrial Northern Bohemia, is home to dozens of children.
A third of the babies here are the children of prostitutes, mainly poor Gypsies, who work in brothels on the infamous E-55 highway which runs from Berlin, Germany, to the Czech Republic's capital, Prague.
The women give birth in local hospitals and as soon as they are well enough, slip back to work, leaving their children behind.
Eventually the children, many half-Gypsy, wind up in the orphanage, discarded and forgotten by their mothers who have gone back to work.
Many of the prostitutes claim the fathers were German tourists and some have even given the child a made-up German surname (family-name).
The orphanage director, Jirina Rajtrova ,believes that, as in many other countries, the colour of the baby's skin often determines its adoptability.
SOUNDBITE: (Czech)
It isn't such a big problem finding parents for half-Gypsy babies, at least those that aren't very Gypsy-looking (but it's harder to find parents for the darker looking children). And lately I feel that there is a another reason for this difficulty, there is much more open racism in our society now, as there is everywhere. And if parents are afraid for the
future, it is not that they themselves wouldn't like a Gypsy child, but they are just afraid of how society would view their child.
SUPER CAPTION: Dr. Jirina Rajtrova, Orphanage director
Helen was a prostitute when she became pregnant by one of her clients about two years ago.
Although she has now given up prostitution and has a regular job at a railway station, she still can't afford to take care of her daughter.
Eighteen-month-old Susanna was adopted by a family in Prague.
Helen would like to have some contact with her daughter, but knows it is too late.
SOUNDBITE: (Czech)
I'm trying to accept it. I just know that if I went to the mother who now has her she would just have a lot of nasty things to say. I don't know, it makes me sad, it just makes me sad.
SUPER CAPTION: Helena, Former Prostitute
With at least one baby being abandoned by prostitutes a week, there are huge financial problems for Czech hospitals.
Not only do the women not pay for the health care they receive, they leave a child who has to be taken care of by the state.
Most give false identities, have forged documents, and are therefore practically impossible to trace.
The chief doctor at Teplice's hospital says the hospital cannot cope with this problem.
SOUNDBITE: (Czech)
The women who are getting pregnant on E-55 are causing us big problems. They come to us in a very bad state and often they are under the influence of drugs. It is also a financial problem for us because they are not insured. After they have the baby in our maternity ward they simply wait until they are well enough and then they immediately disappear. And only God knows where they go.
SUPER CAPTION: Dr. Jiri Kahanek, Director of Gynaecology, Teplice Hospital
The Czech Republic has no law allowing adoption by foreigners and orphanage officials say many requests are simply filed away and forgotten, although some children are adopted domestically.
