The population was 1,027 at the 2000 census. Pacific City's main attraction is the Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area. The Thousand Trails camp ground was absolutely beautiful.

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Sunday afternoons report of a missing teenage female that fell into the Pacific Ocean at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area.
On February 01, 2016 at approximately 2:50 PM four youths were climbing on the cape at Cape Kiwanda when MEGAN OWENS, age 17, from Marysville, Washington, fell off the rocks into an area commonly known as the Punch Bowl. OSP troopers responded along with Tillamook County Sheriff's deputies, local fire/EMS and aircraft from the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
During the search, two members from the North Lincoln Fire and Rescue, who were searching the area on personal watercraft reportedly fell into the water as sea conditions began to worsen and were later rescued by the USCG Jayhawk aircraft crew. One responder was dropped off at the beach and the other was transferred to emergency medical services personnel in Lincoln City.
Aircraft from the USCG continued their search late into the night. OSP troopers and Tillamook County deputies remained on the beach until search crews arrived early this morning. Notification of those involved and their families has been completed by the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office Chaplains. Search of the area will continue and will be conducted by the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office.
OSP was assisted in the search by the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, Nestucca Fire, Netarts/Oceanside Fire and Rescue, United States Coast Guard, North Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Tillamook Ambulance.
Family is requesting that those with inquires respect their privacy and direct questions to the Oregon State Police. Questions regarding the two personnel from North Lincoln Fire and Rescue should be directed to their agency. No further information to release.

Cape Kiwanda State Park, couple random dudes boarding down the sand around cliffs, but it seems they had a path to avoid the cliffs. I didn't want to walk down from my side to film more as it was a straight drop off.

Beach Motorcycle Ride in Pacific City, Oregon
My buddy and I ride two very different bikes on the Oregon shoreline. His Suzuki is a bit more adept at the terrain than my big, ol' Hog.
My Harley-Davidson FLD Switchback got stuck getting out to the water but we managed to pull it out and get her going.
It was a great ride through the Tillamook State Forest to the beach and the novelty of riding on the beach was the cherry on top.

Camping Thousand Trails RV Resort Pacific City Oregon
Pacific City Thousand Trails RV Resort has to be one of my favorite parks so far. 308 camp sites spread out through the forest and across from the ocean that you can walk to. Pacific City is cute laid- back beach town you just can't get enough of. The camp sites are roomy and not stacked on top of each other. Most sites have the full hook ups and 30amp and 50amp power. If you are in the area of Pacific City this is a must stay camp ground. CAUTION you won't want to leave!! :)

The teen reportedly injured a lower body part while jumping off a rock on the north side of the punch-bowl in Cape Kiwanda. A Coast Guard aircrew aboard an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, from Sector Columbia River, medevaced an injured teen off a cliff-side near Cape Kiwanda, Oregon.

Crescent Beach, Oregon Coast
Amanda and I hiking Crescent Beach Trail and some footage from my solo hike of Kings Mountain. On the coastal hike We trekked through the forest which had some openings that provided amazing elevated views of the beach and pacific ocean. The trail ends at Crescent beach, which is very secluded. We stayed on the beach for an incredible golden hour and hiked back up the trail with just enough sunlight left. A perfect hike.
