Introduction to Carlton Oaks Golf Club
Carlton Oaks Golf Club is in Santee, San Diego County. It is a Pete Dye designed golf course and a very difficult layout. It`s also 7410 yards from the back tees! In recent years the condition of the course hasn`t been the best, but the owners are making significant changes, with upgrades to both the course and the lodge. New bent grass greens were laid in 2012 and the course is looking great. We highly recommend a visit in you are in the area.

Interview with Stephen Hale - Carlton Oaks Winner
Today at Carlton Oaks Stephen Hale shot a final round 71, to add to his Day1 68 and Day2 68. His final score of 9-under par was enough to win by 5 shots. Troy Merritt and David Lipsky were tied for second at 4-under par, with Aaron Dexheimer and Daniel Miernicki another shot back at 3-under.

Course Updates, Episode 1! by Superintendent, Geoff Haynes
Geoff Haynes began his tenure at Carlton Oaks in August...just in time to take on the task of replacing all the old poa annua turf on the greens with fresh, new creeping bentgrass! The entire maintenance staff worked extremely hard while the course was closed to complete the important greens project, along with tackling a myriad of other jobs throughout the property in anticipation of the clubs' re-opening on Sep 17.
Geoff began his turfgrass career in 1991 working in maintenance on a course up in Washington state...simply as a way to play golf for free. He had fallen in love with the game in high school and played on his varsity team...he also played competitive college golf. He later discovered that a person could actually receive a college degree for golf course maintenance. He eagerly jumped in and received a degree of his very own in 1995...
