From biking the windy rolling hills of Paso Robles to hiking the coastal bluffs at Montana de Oro, there are plenty of outdoor activities to please everyone. Head to Central Coast Lavender Farm where visitors can pick their own lavender. Learn how wine is made at Steinbeck Vineyards or at First Crush seminars where a wide range of hands-on classes are available. Make goat cheese from start to finish at Happy Acre Farms. Find homemade goodies, fresh made honey, heirloom tomatoes and discover plenty of farm animals at Jack Creek Farms.
For the adventurer at heart, take a wine tour with Cloud Climbers Jeep Tours. Climb aboard a classic, custom CJ8 Scrambler for a back-country adventure to taste some of Paso Robles' finest wines off the beaten path. For a bit more dirt under the fingernails, Harris Stage Lines offers authentic Stagecoach rides and driving lessons, rodeo and horse shows, and horse camps for kids. Or, take a journey to the past at Work Ranch to go horseback riding and spend the day learning the life of a rancher tending to cows, goats and chickens in the glorious countryside.
Irish Hills, Mariposa Trail to Morro Bay Overlook - Hike San Luis Obispo
A solid hike on the west side of San Luis Obsipo. If you get lucky at the end of the trail you can see Morro Rock aka the Sleeping Rhino! The trail is full of great views, and wonderful terrain!
