The Price is Right Live is coming to Cheyenne, Wyoming at Cheyenne Civic Center
The Price is Right is coming to Cheyenne, Wyoming on December 3, 2019. Tickets for the Price is Right in Cheyenne, Wyoming go on sale on Friday, July 12.
We talked to David Soules, the booking and programming manager for the City of Cheyenne, earlier this week to discuss the Price is Right coming to the Cheyenne Civic Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
David Soules said the traveling Price is Right (otherwise known as The Price is Right Live) is very much like the TV version of The Price is Right.
David Soules said the games on The Price is Right are the same, the prizes are the same, and the audience participation is the same.
David Soules said when The Price is Right Live comes to the Cheyenne Civic Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming on December 3, 2019, people can expect a crazy time as the traveling show packs a lot of energy with it.
David Soules said neither Drew Carey nor Bob Barker will be hosting it but different celebrity hosts travel on the traveling Price is Right and the name of the host would be announced shortly before the show.
David Soules also explained how people can buy tickets and register to be a contestant on The Price is Right Live at the Cheyenne Civic Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue Hit the Cheyenne Civic Center Stage!
New Orleans native Troy Andrews, also known as Trombone Shorty, will bring a complex mix of jazz, hip hop, and heritage music to the Cheyenne Civic Center Stage this January. Best known as a brass player, skilled in both his moniker trombone, trumpet, and tuba (with a little guitar thrown in), Shorty got his name when he picked up his instrument at age four (My parents pushed me toward trombone because they didn't need another trumpet player, he laughs). In his teens, Andrews played shows abroad with the Neville Brothers. Fresh out of high school (New Orleans Center for Creative Arts) he joined Lenny Kravitz' band—and this talented musician is now on his way to Cheyenne, WY with his band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, for a multi-state tour to promote his newest album.
Parking Lot Symphony, his ninth album, contains a broad range of sounds—as one can only imagine from an album that opens with a dirge. It blends brass band blare and deep-groove funk with bluesy beauty and hip-hop swagger… only something that four years of hard work could intertwine. Andrews released his last album, Say That to This, in 2013.
Andrews has played with a number of international names in the music scene, including Bo Diddley, Lenny Kravitz, Charles Neville (of The Neville Brothers), U2, Mystikal, Green Day, Queen Latifah, Little Big Town, and Usher to name a few. He has appeared on Conan, Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits, and has performed twice for President Obama at the While House.

Atlas Motel [ABANDONED] (Cheyenne, Wyoming) | Optopolis
The Atlas Motel in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a once booming 1900s motel, now sits stagnant and decrepit, as it begs to be rebuilt.
The motel was built in the late 1920s as a thriving establishment. Unfortunately, like many other aging motels, it eventually became pest infested, significantly decreasing interest in long term stay. As a result, the Atlas Motel was perminantly abandoned in 2018. In October 2019, plans were released to rebuild the Atlas with a new motel, but much more modernistic and larger to accomodate the crowds.
Today, it still sits and decays, empty, unused, and boarded up. Sadly, this isn't the only motel/hotel in Cheyenne that sits abandoned today. Fortunately, something better will become of it.

On Tuesday, January 15, City of Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr gave her State of the City Address at the Cheyenne Civic Center. The event was preceded by a welcome introduction from Chief of Staff, Eric Fountain, along with the posting of the colors by the Cheyenne PD Honor Guard, the singing of the anthem by City of Cheyenne employee, Steve Ganison, and the pledge of allegiance led by the Order of the Purple Heart. Mayor Orr was introduced onto the stage by husband, Jimmy Orr.
