Geostationary Carbon Cycle Observatory , the first Geostationary Vegetation, Atmospheric Carbon Mission and the second space-based Earth Venture Mission of NASA that is planned to be conducted in joint collaboration with University of Oklahoma, Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Center in Palo Alto, SES Government Solutions Company in Reston; Colorado State University, and Ames Research Center, Goddard Space Flight Center, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. It is also the first Earth Science Mission of NASA that will daily monitor and take measurements of three significant green house gases - carbon dioxide, methane and carbon monoxide.
