Andrew S.'s Review on The Dyrt:
▶︎ When not on the water...
When we were at Table Rock State Park it rained and rained and...rained. But this just meant that we spent most of our time exploring the nature center and Branson. We can't wait to get to come back and spend time in the water and fishing, although we did fish some without much luck.

Saunavators! 3 OTIS Hydraulic Elevators-ARC Parking Structure-Sacramento, CA
This is the parking structure at American River College. We have 4 elevators here, but one of them is broken. It sucks that the right elevator in the set of two is out because it has concave buttons!! Darn. I find it interesting how they're on separate controllers despite being right next to each other and serving the same exact floors. I also find it interesting how none of these have door close buttons. This video was taken in late August and these things were super hot! The fans didn't do anything and I was sweating so much when filming this video. They're basically saunas that happen to go up and down. I could really use the heat now though. It's freezing! (Some of you who live in places with much colder temps will laugh). These all run pretty wack since they're not maintained, and the heat was getting the best of them too. The second elevator I ride has the best motor IMO.

Popular trail on Table Rock Lake extended, opened to public
TABLE ROCK LAKE - Hikers now have a longer trail to enjoy in the Branson area.
A ribbon cutting for an extension to the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail happened this morning.
The new extension takes hikers through Table Rock State Park, to the Showboat Branson Belle. It also leads to the Dewey Short Visitor Center on Table Rock Dam.
Folks looking for a healthy lifestyle, they're looking for alternatives for children to get away from electronics or at least a little bit of electronics, and get some outdoor time, some nature time, Ben Ellis, State Park Director For Missouri said
This expansion project cost nearly four hundred thousand dollars.
Most of the money came from a grant for recreational trails. Private funding also covered part of the bill.

Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area
Legacy from the creators of the Beverly Hillbillies
Covering 1,534 acres just northwest of Branson, the Ruth and Paul
Henning Conservation Area preserves one of the most scenic and
historic sites in Missouri.
The area was preserved largely through the efforts and generosity of
Ruth and Paul Henning, who donated or sold much of the preserve
to the state of Missouri. Paul Henning is best known as the creator of
several of America's most popular television series, including the
Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and Green Acres. He also wrote
episodes of the Andy Griffith Show, the George Burns and Gracie
Allen Show and the 1988 film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Natives of Missouri, the Hennings maintained a life-long love for the
state, its scenery, culture and citizens. They helped establish the
conservation area to preserve the landscape for future generations.
The area protects a unique series of natural features called balds.
Open glades along the slopes and tops of the hills, the balds were
used as meeting places for post-Civil War vigilante groups known as
baldknobbers.
The area also preserves many locations featured in the classic
Herald Bell Wright book, Shepherd of the Hills. Among these are
Dewey Bald, Boulder Bald, Sammy Lane's Lookout and Little Pete's
Cave.
The Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area is located on
Highway 76 between Branson and Silver Dollar City. The paved
parking lot and associated overlook are wheelchair accessible and
provide fantastic views of the area. The trails themselves, however,
are strenuous in places.
