Seal Rocks Dive Forster New South Wales
Newcastle University Diving and Exploration Society's (N.U.D.E.S) trip to Seal Rocks which is just south of Forster New South Wales, Australia. Saw lots of sea life including sand tiger/ gray nurse sharks, wobbegongs, rays, blue groper, and various kinds of reef fish. Two dives over the period of two days. Heavy swells on the first day and a slight overcast had an impact on the visibility. The second day was flat, blue skies, clear water, and all around smooth sailing.

Scuba Diving The Pinnacle, Forster, Australia, January 2014
This video is from my first double boat dive at the Pinnacle at Forster, another very nice dive site along the coast of NSW. There was lots and lots of schooling Mados and Silver Sweeps high on the mooring line, a few Greynurse Sharks around the 30m mark, and some of the usual NSW species. The water was around 15 or 16 degree... brrrrr... IMHO, a fat 15l Nitrox 32 tank and extra insulation are best for this dive, so you can enjoy more of the marine life and landscape around 30m.

Grey Nurse Shark Dive Forster NSW December 2017
Alex and I were fortunate enough to experience these majestic Grey Nurse sharks in their natural surroundings off Latitude Reef, Forster. These incredible sharks are critically endangered and face extinction due to accidental capture in shark nets along the beaches of NSW. These nets capture and kill over 15,000 marine and are proven ineffective in reducing the risk of shark attack incidents. It is time we removed these nets and people took responsibility for the associated risk (however miniscule it may be) of entering our oceans. Just remember you are more likely to die from a vending machine than a shark attack!
