A Hot Tailor bite in 2011 - kayak fishing for tailor - wallis lake, forster, nsw. Hooked heaps, lost many, landed 2. The day before, fishing with a friend, I had landed some bigger ones and a juvenile Samson Fish - first I'd ever seen in Wallis Lake.
I was fishing from my Hobie Sport Kayak with a drogue made from a cloth shopping bag,
A terrific day on the water using a Shimano Rack Raider 7ft rod & Top water lures - Sammy65 and a metal slice!

This is a great place to spend a long weekend plenty of sea food and yes that is the color of the water it has white sand below it that makes it that color. Forster is between Newcastle and Taree in New South Wales you just do not go straight through on the freeway.
