Virtual Tour to Beautiful Guilin, China
As a Chinese saying goes, Guilin's scenery is best among all under heaven. Picturesque Li River winding through the city with peaks mushroomed inside, makes Guilin a popular city for sightseeing. Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo for stunning karst scenery along Li River; Hike through the Zhuang & Yao minorities villages of Longji Rice Terraces area...

What to eat in Yangshuo (Guilin) CHINA
Yangshuo (Guilin) is a popular tourist destination for both local Chinese and foreigners these days. But besides from the scenic sights there are also some incredible regional foods which shouldn't be missed, plus some for the more adventurous souls too!
Google is blocked in China so for all our China videos, we'll do our best to provide restaurant names and addresses, but these will often have Chinese in them too so if you have the Chinese apps like Dianping for food recommendations you'll be able to enter them in and use DiDi-Rider (Uber equivalent in China) to get to the locations.
First up we try some authentic dishes from a local Guilin restaurant for breakfast. Oily tea cereal? Rice in a bamboo shoot? These were some of the unique regional Guilin dishes that were completely new to us which we were excited to try.
Restaurant name: 恭城油茶小吃店
Pinyin pronunciation: Gōng chéng yóuchá xiǎochī diàn
Address: 广西壮族自治区-桂林市-叠彩区-复兴里3号
Next up we tried some Guilin rice noodles (Guilin mi fen) thanks to a local recommendation from our Airbnb host. Guilin mifen is an absolute must try dish when you're in Guilin, China.
Restaurant name: 桂林米粉
Pinyin pronunciation: Guìlín mǐfěn
Address: 广西壮族自治区-桂林市-阳朔县-阳朔镇滨江路25号滨江花园酒店旁
To try scorpions and many other different types of regional street foods head over to West Street which is a popular tourist street in Yangshuo, Guilin. There are many food court areas all serving similar delicacies at West Street, Yangshuo. Beware though! The smaller scorpion species can apparently be more venomous than the big ones so only eat them if you dare ????
While in West Street Yangshuo, Guilin you can also go to the restaurant where we ate the fisherman cakes and pork belly with yams from. They're also well known for their beer fish too.
Restaurant name: 漁夫啤酒鱼 (西街店)
Pinyin pronunciation: Yúfū píjiǔ yú (Xī jiē diàn)
Address: 广西壮族自治区-桂林市-阳朔县-益田西街118号(星巴克附近)
Finally we've saved the best for last a massive 2kg fish cooked with beer. To have perhaps the most famous dish of Yangshuo (Guilin) BEER FISH! Beer fish is definitely one of those must-try dishes when you're in Yangshuo, China.
Restaurant name: 厨先生
Pinyin pronunciation: Chú xiānshēng
NB: Unfortunately this restaurant has since changed into a BBQ skewers shop, but don't worry, beer fish is so popular it's easy to find all around Yangshuo.

Taking the train in China from Hong Kong to Guangzho en route to Guilin travel video (香港 广州 桂林 )
Taking the train in China from Hong Kong to Guangzho en route to Guilin travel video. Well, it's hard to believe but our time in Hong Kong has already expired. Today we're taking a train ride. Where are we going? We're crossing over into China. Hong Kong, of course, is a part of China but this is a Special Administrative Region, so we're actually going through immigration to get into Mainland China today. This is the first time we've taken a train where we've had to go through immigration to cross somewhere, so this should be interesting.

We are in Guangzho. Apparently there are two train stations. We arrived at the one that is on the East End of the City and we had to get across town to the other and it was difficult but we need to keep going.
So right now we are in Guangzho station waiting for our train to Guilin. And we happen to be waiting in the VIP room.
There is no tea in this tea room.
We're going to Guilin.
Uh, we're looking for number ten.
So we're in the dining cart now getting ready to have dinner. Let's see what is on the menu if we can even read it. We barely got a seat here.
Decision time. So we did manage to find an English menu which makes things a lot easier.
Fish one. Tofu with pork. One. Okay. Rice. One Rice? Okay. Beer. One. Okay. Ah, green tea - one. okay.
So this is the friend fish with a sweet and sour sauce. It's got some pineapple on top And then we have the pork with tofu over here which looks really tasty and some rice to go along with it. And of course a beer. Sam had to get his beer.
Taking the skin off. Trying to get at the meat. There it is. Mmmmm. It's nice and salty.
Well, how are you enjoying that tofu? It's not bad. It's really spicy.
Good morning. We are almost in Guilin. Our train has been delayed about an hour and a half. So we're just hanging out in the dining cart. Breakfast isn't being served for some reason so we're just enjoying what is left over of our snacks from yesterday, so a few salty peanuts. These little hazelnut cakes. Water chestnut cakes? Yeah. And that's about it.

BEST VPN FOR CHINA: To access any western social media platforms in China, you're going to need a VPN on your phone and laptop. Ivacy offers a great service for a very affordable price (ad):
Here's a detailed breakdown of information as mentioned in the film (a table of contents, if you will):
0:30 - Views from the Train Ride from Hong Kong to Yangshuo
1:14 - Arriving in Yangshuo: What is the town like?
A bit of background on the town and how it might not be the nature serenity you are looking for.
1:35 - How to get to the Yangshuo TV Tower Viewpoint (hard climb)
The best views in Yangshuo are accessible from the town centre, but it's a pretty long climb up to the top of a mountain. We followed the instructions on how to get there by ILP Blog, a really good article. Remember to bring 10 Yuan per person:
3:23 - This is what the TV Tower view looks like
4:03 - The Views from Yangshuo Park (easy climb)
A much less physically demanding climb to some nice views over the town. It's a really nice public park too, definitely worth checking out.
4:28 - Our Accommodation, Sudder Street Guesthouse
Great place to stay, just outside the town centre. An amazing pool, with great views. Dorms are £3 a night and private rooms (en-suite) with a balcony are £18.
4:55 - Yangshuo National Park
This is where you'll spend most of your time and where you will find the famous bamboo rafts that you've seen on Instagram. We rented bicycles to get around, but some people rent mopeds/motorbikes instead. You're going to want the freedom of your own transport.
6:00 - Here's the bamboo rafts
6:26 - Moon Hill, my favourite sunset spot (and favourite part of Yangshuo in general). A natural archway that has featured in one of the Transformers films I think.
And thats it. Any questions, let me know in the comments!

My favorite place on Earth, YangShuo Guilin.
Finally arrived in my promised land Yangshuo near Guilin, the most picturesque area you're likely to ever see. Swimming in rivers and riding scooters through the valleys, with only natural sounds of insects and birds in the background. And if that wasn't enough the night life was .. well actually just ok. But streetscape very colorful during the night. However did spend a bunch of evenings speaking only Chinese so it was a big personal success.

Exploring Beautiful Chengdu & Travelling Home⎮China Trip 2018
Hello beautiful friends! Can you believe that today's vlog is the last episode of my China travel series?! Despite falling sick during our final days, I am so grateful that I still got to explore a little bit of beautiful Chengdu, which I really enjoyed (as you can probably tell!) wholeheartedly. The Wide and Narrow Alleys (KuanZhai XianZi) is definitely a must visit if you ever visit Sichuan; there is so much fun to be found inside, as well as ancient Chinese culture blended with the new. Mum and I have arrived safely back home in Melbourne now, and I just want to say thank you to everyone who joined us on this amazing journey which I learned incredibly much from. It feels like we travelled for a month because of how many places we visited, and I am so thankful for every single moment, especially being able to spend it with my mother. I hope that I could inspire some of you to travel to China too one day if you have the opportunity, and again, thank you for your heartwarming support! Sending my love, and see you in the next video :)

Travel to China Visa-Free (Wuhan City Tour)
How is it to travel to Wuhan in China? Answer: it is getting easier and you should definitely visit Wuhan for the good food and not only. Eventually some shopping as well.
Now it is easier to travel to many cities/regions in China due to visa-free policy that gives you 72 hours and even up to 144 hours in certain areas.
