We don't get much time off, but took this weekend off this year to get some vacation time, well apart from the 20 minutes or so that we were filming this, lol. All video filmed handheld on the Kodak ZZ1 Pocket Camera. As we were meant to be taking the weekend off, we had no other gear with us, even forgetting our wide angle lens for the Kodak zx1. No Spelling champions here!

After driving up to Fort Bragg to catch the sunset at Glass Beach, my sister and I camped under the redwoods in the Mendocino wilderness and then hiked to a cute little waterfall in the morning. Nothing but good times in NorCal ????

A clear sunrise on Glass Beach in MacKerricher State Park, near Fort Bragg, California.
From Glass Beach on a clear day, you can observe the northern Mendocino coastline all the way up to Shelter Cove, the southern most terminus of the Lost Coast Trail.

Beautiful trail hiking: Russian Gulch State Park, Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, Fort Bragg California
Started my hiking back in california with some beautiful trails in Russian Gulch and Mendocino Headlands state parks over a long weekend. Featured trails in the video are fern canyon trail to waterfall loop and the coastal trail is mendocino headlands trail. Northern california provides some incredible views of the pacific coast and boasts heavenly sunsets. Point Cabrillo lighthouse is just a few minutes away on the ever popular highway 1 along with the sleepy town of Fort Bragg. I have to say that glass beach was a horrible disappointment simply because most of the glass has been picked clean by tourists (leave it to humans). Coastal weather here ranges wildly from early morning fog and mist to gorgeous sunny blue skies. Dress appropriately for this region of california as the coast is much colder (even in summer) than most people think. For the love of future generations dont pick the glass!

All American Trail (Fort Bragg, NC)
The All American Trail is in the Carolina Sandhills region of North Carolina near Fort Bragg. This public-use trail runs east-west for about 12 miles through some rugged hilly and sandy terrain. This area of North Carolina is very unique, geologically. Tall pines dominate the landscape and with all of the sand, you might wonder why the ocean is still a hundred miles away from here. On this day we ride about 4 miles to and from the Rockfish Creek boardwalk from the Plank Rd. trailhead. The trail is more suitable for mountain bikes, but hybrids will work. The temperature was in the mid 70s on this day. Filmed on January 14, 2013 in 1080p. For more information on this trail visit:
