We will be selling those on our new website soon. We enjoy boon docking in nature or dry camping off grid along the ocean, in deserts and in the mountains. Our other passion is searching for treasures, one of those is a real Treasure Chest hidden by a fascinating gentleman named Forrest Fenn. We have been searching since 2013 and have filmed a few of our searches for you, so you can come along for the Thrill Of The Chase. Glass Beach in Fort Bragg is a unique California spot that has become a popular tourist attraction over the years. This beach was an area where the locals dump their trash in the early-mid 1900's and over the years the ocean has broken down the glass into small smooth pieces that coat the sand. In this video we explore the beach and talk a little bit about the history.

We continue our Pacific Coast Highway road trip up to Seattle in the van. On Day 2 we stop off at the famous Glass Beach in Fort Bragg to see if we can find some treasures. From first look there doesn't appear to be much, but just wait to see what we find!
After Fort Bragg we find an unexpected beauty at Hardy Rock and check out the sights of the California coast with the drone!
Finally we finish the evening off with a drive through the magical Avenue of the Giants, a special area of redwood trees that encapsulate the road and leave you feeling like a very small piece of this gigantic earth!

Glass Beach as the most COLORFUL place in Fort Bragg, California
In California, a chain of Glass Beaches is considered to be a natural wonder. There are three known beaches in the Fort Bragg region and it shows how the nature deals with the results of human ignorance and indifference.
Fort Bragg, like many other cities located by the coastline, have been dumping garbage into the ocean. The dumping sites in Fort Bragg functioned from 1906 till 1967 and have accumulated a lot of trash, the heaviest of which, the glass, stayed close to the shore.
As a result the waves started washing out some of the heavy particles, which were influenced by power of water tides and waves, so they didn’t have sharp edges anymore and nowadays look like shiny, colorful glass stones.
So the Glass Beach in California is a great tourism attraction of our time but it should make us think about a lot of things.
