In today's nostalgic video tour, I visit and tour the Palm Springs, California memorial stars of actors Rock Hudson and George Nader. I also visit their cenotaphs at Forest Lawn Cathedral City, which is about 10-15 east of downtown Palm Springs. George Nader's life partner of more than 50 years, Mark Lincoln Miller is also part of the cenotaph memorial.
On my walk along the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, I also stop at Tab Hunter's memorial star and Sonny Bono's memorial statue and fountain.

Easter Kidapalooza 2018
Thousands flocked to Town Square Park in front of City Hall on Sunday for Easter Kidapalooza. The event centered around kids by providing a 25,000 Easter Egg Hunt, bouncy houses, food, drinks, snow cones, a bike giveaway, DJ music, and the famous Fountain of Life to cool down.

Palm Springs, a city in the Sonoran Desert of southern California, is known for its hot springs, stylish hotels, golf courses and spas. It's also noted for its many fine examples of midcentury-modern architecture. Its core shopping district along Palm Canyon Drive features vintage boutiques, interior design shops and restaurants. The surrounding Coachella Valley offers hiking, biking and horseback riding trails.
Palm Springs is a resort city in the desert region of Southern California. It became a destination during the 1950s and 1960s when Hollywood movie stars flocked there for nearby relaxation and vacations. Nowadays, the entire Palm Springs metro area is growing and offers entertainment for all ages, although the most common demographics still consists of retirees. Palm Springs offers indoor and outdoor activities. Known for its hiking, mid-century modern architecture, natural beauty, and sparkling pools, Palm Springs has the perfect blend of outdoor activities and casual relaxation. Rain is rare, so the weather is often very dry. Palm Springs has a high percentage of gay residents and is a favorite for gay travelers, and also naturist communities.
Palm Springs has a pedestrian friendly downtown. Visitors can enjoy the palm tree lined streets along Palm Canyon Drive and Indian Canyon Drive. Many boutique shops, outdoor restaurant and art galleries line the streets. Palm Springs is the principal city of the Coachella Valley, a string of desert towns ranging from ho-hum Cathedral City to glamtastic Palm Desert and Coachella, home of the star-studded music festival, all linked by Hwy 111. North of Palm Springs, scruffy Desert Hot Springs draws visitors with chic boutique hotels built on top of soothing springs.

Actor, singer, entertainer and politician, Sonny Bono's former Palm Springs, California restaurant is being demolished to make way for new modern homes.
Bono's Italian restaurant and Tennis Club opened in 1985 and is where he met his wife, Mary Whitaker. Bono became Mayor of Palm Springs in 1988 and sold the restaurant in 1991. It's been vacant since the sale. The restaurant was located at 1700 North Indian Canyon Drive, at the corner of Via Escuela, in the Racquet Club Estates neighborhood of Palm Springs.

About this city:
Garden Grove is a city in northern Orange County, California, United States, located 34 miles (55 km) south of the city of Los Angeles.[8] The population was 170,883 at the 2010 United States Census. State Route 22, also known as the Garden Grove Freeway, passes through the city in an east-west direction. The western portion of the city is known as West Garden Grove.
Strawberry Festival[edit]
An annual event held over Memorial Day weekend, the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival is one of the largest community festivals in the western United States, attracting an estimated 250,000 visitors.[9][10] It began in 1958 and celebrates the city's agricultural past, which includes cultivating crops such as chili peppers, oranges, walnuts and strawberries. Part of the festivities include the cutting of the world's largest strawberry shortcake, carnival rides and vendors and a celebrity-filled parade.[11] Numerous Garden Grove organizations, including the Miss Garden Grove Scholarship Program, are part of the Memorial Day weekend festivities every year. In commemoration of Garden Grove's 50th anniversary, the city painted some of its fire hydrants with a design that featured a strawberry, recognizing the festival as a big part of Garden Grove's history.[12][13]
