The recently refurbished Art Hotel Prague is situated in a quiet and prestigious residential area next to the Sparta Stadium. The historic centre of Prague can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or by tram from the nearby stop.

The National Gallery in Prague is a state-owned art gallery in Prague, which manages the largest collection of art in the Czech Republic. The collections of the gallery are not housed in a single building, but are presented in a number of historic structures within the city of Prague, as well as other places. The largest of the gallery sites is the Veletržní Palác, which houses the National Gallery's collection of modern art. It is one of the largest museums in Central Europe.

Art museum in a palace, home to ancient Greek & Roman works, Renaissance and 19th-century paintings.
The Sternberg Palace on Hradčanské Square is one of the most significant works of the High Baroque in Bohemia. Today the building is under the administration of the National Gallery Prague, which has placed its collections here. The permanent exhibition was installed after the original ceilings were exposed and renewed. The best works from the national collection, dating from ancient Rome to the end of the Baroque, are displayed on several floors of the palace.

Exploring Prague's Art Scene - Czech Republic
Had an amazing time exploring some of Prague's Art scene. This city is filled with a huge variety of different kinds of art, which you can find in the streets, amongst some of the impressive architecture, decorating restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as within the art galleries. There is something for every kind of art lover and creative. This video is just a taste, hopefully will film some more of the art scene in coming weeks.

National Gallery in Prague - Národní galerie v Praze
In its time the largest building of its kind worldwide and in Prague the first functionalist building from the year 1928 serves today the purposes of the National Gallery. The unique collection of Czech and international, modern and contemporary art includes, for example, an exceptionally valuable collection of French and European art, including unique works by the most distinguished names such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Auguste Renoir, Vincent van Gogh and Gustav Klimt Many more.
Národní gallery is for me the most timeless and beautiful building for contemporary art! The light, space, form and design of the building convince by the clarity and beauty of a functional building which must have been groundbreaking at its time of origin. At some corners, like a shop-like light, then as bright as the Baden-Baden Burda Museum, a gigantic light-air courtyard as in the London Science Museum. But everywhere sober stylish as Bauhaus factories. A copy and branch of Dessau. For me the most timeless building for contemporary art.
And then a suitable cafe for the exhibition, with a bright large cafe hall and a monumental character. If you like the exhibition, you also like the café. Also if you have time and after a long exhibition a break needs for the fits here everything.

Zu seiner Zeit der größte Bau seiner Art weltweit und in Prag das erste funktionalistische Gebäude aus dem Jahre 1928 dient heute den Zwecken der Nationalgalerie. Die einzigartige Sammlung tschechischer und internationaler, modernen und Gegenwartskunst umfasst zum Beispiel eine außergewöhnlich wertvolle Sammlung an französischer und europäischer Kunst, sie umfasst einzigartige Werke von klingendsten Namen, wie zum Beispiel Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Auguste Renoir, Vincent van Gogh, Gustav Klimt und vieler weiterer.
Národní galerie ist fürmich das zeitloseste Gebäude für zeitgenössische Kunst! Licht, Raum, Form und Gestaltung des Gebäudes überzeugen durch Klarheit und Schönheit eines Funktionalbaus der zu seiner Entstehungszeit bahnbrechend gewesen sein muss. An manchen Ecken fabrikähnlich schlicht, dann wieder lichthell und schick wie das Baden-Badener-Burda-Museum, ein gigantischer Lichtluft-Innenhof wie im Londoner Science-Museum. Aber überall nüchtern stilvoll wie Bauhaus-Fabriken. Ein Kopie und Filiale von Dessau. Für mich das zeitloseste Gebäude für zeitgenössische Kunst.
Und dann noch ein passendes Café zur Ausstellung, mit heller großes Caféhalle und monumentalem Charakter. Wer die Ausstellung mag, dem gefällt auch das Café. Auch wer Zeit hat und nach langer Ausstellung eine Pause braucht für den passt hier alles.
The Artinbox Gallery - Art Prague
The ArtinBox Gallery is exactly the kind of new and exciting space dedicated to the arts which the centre of Prague has needed for a long time. Opened very recently and wonderfully located on Perlova St a three minute stroll from Mustek and the lower end of Wenceslas Square, it immediately distinguishes itself by its friendly approach and informal manner. Art Photography, Modern Painting, Graphic Art and Statuary are the major oeuvres to which ArtinBox devotes itself. Many of the art galleries today are of the kind where you walk blindly around trying to appreciate work which nobody working there is capable of or interested in explaining to you. At this new gallery it couldn't be more different because they will genuinely assist you here to understand the exhibitions, what the creator of the piece had in mind when he produced the art work, what inspired the artwork, and how it inter-relates and connects to other art genres be they contemporary or not.

I've been living in Prague for a year, and so far I didn't have the chance to visit the existing Museum dedicated to one of my favourite authors.
Franz Kafka wrote at least 15 books (from which I guess I am missing 4 or 5), some of which are considered to be among the masterpieces of modern Literature.
The Museum of Franz Kafka is located in one of the most beautiful quarters of Prague, Malá Strana at Cihelná 2b, Prague 1-Lesser Town. The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The exhibition The City of K. Franz Kafka and Prague was originally opened in 1999 in Barcelona. The huge success of the exhibition led to its being displayed again in 2002 in the Jewish Museum in New York, where it was received with extraordinary enthusiasm.
Finally, the city that captivated Franz Kafka till the very end, participated in the organizing of the exhibition. Today, Franz Kafka Museum in Prague hosts not only the main exhibition The City of K. Franz Kafka and Prague but also several extra mini-exhibitions like Existential Space and Imaginary Topography. Overall, multimedia, images, copies of his original writings and audios are presented reflecting his influences, his daily life at the office and his fight against bureaucracy, his struggles, his mental health and the suffocation he experienced for several reasons.
Photographs of people and places of his life, as well as manuscripts and books in the ingeniously planned installations, words, lights and music, are combined in a symphonic unity.
It was a unique experience especially for those who are familiar with his literature. At the end of the journey, you can feel the suffocation and the desperation that young Kafka was suffering from, and his works will then make more sense than ever before.

National Gallery Prague
The winning visual style of the contest, to which ten studios have been called, builds on a distinctive logo inspired by the mission of the National Gallery as a space for the presentation of art. The logo defines context for different types of content (image, text, video) within the three letters of the abbreviation of the National Gallery in Prague, creating a memorable and variable brand. Color and visual style remain as open and vibrant as possible, just as the approaches of artists that are presented in the country’s most important gallery institution. The competition results are on view at Café Jedna in the Trade Fair Palace, Prague 7 from May 3 2018.

ART in Prague - great street festival, nice club and uniqe galery
What to do in Prague? Where to go to a great musical festival? Try to attend United Islands of Prague. It is open air festival which is free of charge and happens every year in June. In case you want to go inside there is a nice club called Palac Akropolis where you can listen different kinds of music from jazz, rock to pop... And if you want to see some visual art there is gallery Dox! Interesting place with modern art.
