Places to see in ( Indianapolis - USA )
Indianapolis is in the Nine-County Region of Indiana, right at the center of the state. It is the state capital and largest city of Indiana, United States, and is in Marion County. The population within city limits is approximately 830,000 people, making it the 12th largest city in the US. The metropolitan area has about 2 million (23rd in the US). Indianapolis is also known as the Racing Capital of the World due to the proximity of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indy 500 and Allstate 400 at the Brickyard (formerly known as the Brickyard 400).
The name Indianapolis is simply Indiana joined with polis, the Greek word for city. The founders of Indianapolis expected it to be the Great Inland Port, but they neglected to consider the fact that the White River is impossible to navigate most of the year; other than during the spring, it is a melange of sandbars and temporary islands. However, this port-desire left the city with a beautiful, if useless, canal district.
The tallest building in Indianapolis is the Salesforce Tower, standing at 830 feet. The second is the One America Tower standings at 533 feet, and the third is the One Indiana Tower standing at a height of 504 feet. The fourth and fifth are the Market Tower (421 feet) and 300 North Meridian (408 feet). The sixth and seventh tallest are the M&I Plaza (401 feet), and the seventh tallest is the JW Marriott Indianapolis (376 feet): the JW Marriott Indianapolis is the tallest hotel in the state and the largest JW Marriott in the world.
Clean-cut Indy is the state capital and a perfectly pleasant place to ogle race cars and take a spin around the renowned speedway. The art museum and White River State Park have their merits, as do the Mass Ave and Broad Ripple hoods for eating and drinking. And fans of author Kurt Vonnegut are in for a treat. A swell walking and biking trail connects it all.
Indianapolis is called the Crossroads of America. The city is warm in the summer, with average highs in the mid-80s in June, July, and August. Indianapolis has a typical mid-western winter. January is the coldest month, with an average high of 34 degrees.

The 10 Best Places To Live In Indiana (USA)
Indiana may be best known for its obsession with sports (and limestone) but what may not be in the public domain is that the Midwestern state has one of the lowest cost of living in the United States.
A dollar stretches a long way here, longer than it would in 41 states.
Anyone looking to relocate to the Hoosier State will also be happy to know home prices in Indiana are among the most affordable in the country.
As well, the state boasts a strong economy that is about the size of Norway, according to the American Enterprise Institute.
It is the 16th largest state economy in the United States and this, coupled with the sixth lowest unemployment rate in the nation, makes for very interesting reading, or living rather.
The state’s economy is mainly flanked by agriculture, manufacturing and automotive industries.
Also of notable importance is healthcare and education, not forgetting the two prestigious universities based here: Purdue and Notre Dame.
A report by the Indiana Business Review notes that in 2010, Indiana’s economy grew twice as fast as the rest of the nation, with similar results experienced in the subsequent three years.
With things going so swimmingly in this state, perhaps it didn’t come as a surprise when Money Magazine named Fishers, Indiana the No.1 best place to live in America in 2017.
If you are planning to make an in-state move or put down roots here, below, we reveal the 10 best places to live in Indiana for 2019.
1. Carmel.
2. Fishers.
3. Zionsville.
4. Munster.
5. West Lafayette.
6. Fort Wayne.
7. Westfield.
8. Dyer.
9. Columbus.
10. Indianapolis.

Indiana Dunes State Park Lake Shore Chesterton, Indiana
Indiana Dunes consists of 2,182 acres of primitive, beautiful, historic and unique Hoosier landscape. It lies at the north end of State Road 49 in Porter County, and includes more than three miles of beautiful beach along Lake Michigan’s southern shore. In the early 1900s scientists, recreationists and nature enthusiasts, recognizing the value and potential of the Indiana dunes area, fought to have the region preserved. As a result, in 1925, the state park was established.
Large sand dunes, located beyond the entire shoreline, have taken thousands of years to form, and tower nearly 200 feet above Lake Michigan. A wide range of habitats and plant species are found in the park, with vegetation stabilizing some of the sand. These habitats provide homes for many types of plants and animals. The lake also provides habitat for many aquatic species, as well as a constantly changing fishery.
During the summer, swimming hours may change because of weather and staffing. Please contact the property office for exact times before your visit.
Community
Today, the Town of Chesterton, Indiana has a population of 13,000 - not to mention the seasonal influx of millions of tourists who visit our area every year. We’re known regionally as an artistic community, and visitors come from all over to take in our art galleries, historical sites, antique shops, annual festivals and much, much more.
Outdoor Recreation
But it’s more than tourist attractions that make Chesterton a prime destination for visitors, residents and businesses. Our ecological diversity has lead to the development of wonders such as the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve, many beautiful parks and the newly constructed Prairie-Duneland hiking and biking trail.
Amphitheater at a park
Our drive to develop green initiatives has also resulted in creation of a neo-traditional community, Coffee Creek Center - hailed as one of the world’s most innovative planned communities.
Small Town Living / City Opportunities
Tucked into the shadow of Indiana Dunes yet a mere 45 minutes away from Chicago, Chesterton combines the hospitality and serenity of small town living with the economic viability and cultural opportunities of a world-class city.
It’s not hard to see why Chesterton continues to gain international attention as one of the best places in North America to live, work and play.

GOOD MORNING AMERICA'S HOMEPAGE:
5 Most Insane LEGO Structures
From Lego Mt. Rushmore in LEGOLAND; to the life size Batmobile; These are the 5 Most Insane LEGO Structures EVER !
Greatest of All Time 5
5.Life Sized Batmobile
Think that 50$ lego set from walmart is enough to astound your friends and family? I think not! Master Lego builder Nathan Sawaya has poured in over three months of work and laid down more than half a million lego bricks to create a life sized replica of our favorite crimefighters awesome whip, the Batmobile. In a design which features the signature stylings of Jim Lee’s various Bat-vehicles, this stylish model sports exaggerated tail wings in the shape of, you guessed it, batwings. The rims are emblazoned with the hero's iconic emblem and in true comic book fashion, the build features a jet engine exhaust, complete with not so dangerous lego flames.
This 18 foot long beast of a build captures the sleek curves and flow of the original, regardless of the geometric nature of the lego medium. With around 500,000 Legos making up this batmobile, the build is close to 1500 pounds, which is almost that of a real car!
Sawaya is an artist who is most known for his art exhibitions that focus solely on the use of the versatile plastic building block. With his eye for design and penchant for the material, his unique art form has garnered attention from around the world and created a new niche for all art lovers to enjoy.
4. Eric- Massive Lego Battleship
When you were a kid, you probably have some fun memories playing with legos at some point in your life. This guy in the photo named Jim from Minnesota, is reaching the peak of his lego building days at the age of 51. He constructed this massive 24 foot model of the historic USS Missouri, where the Japanese surrender took place in 1945. He assembled more 1 million total blocks in order for everything to match up just right and began putting together the world’s largest Lego ship, piece by piece. For him, using glue is cheating and if something breaks, you just gotta do it over again! Now that’s some dedication!
3. Full Size Lego House
Back in 2009, Top Gear presenter James May made every little kid’s dream come true when he built the world’s first full sized Lego house! With the help of 1,000 builders they constructed this massive 20ft Lego house on a wine estate in Dorking, Surrey. Made up of over three million plastic bricks, the house is complete with a hot shower, a working toilet and even a solid bed. May revealed that Legoland was in negotiations to move the house to their theme park in Windsor, Berkshire but decided that it would be too costly to move. Even though May believes his Lego house is an artform, anyone interested in owning it would face legal problems as Legoland has an exclusive license to utilize the plastic bricks as an attraction. Legoland even banned him from giving away the bricks. Legoland also felt a little disappointed that they weren’t consulted in making such a beautiful piece but May refuses to dismantle his beloved project despite the legalities. Do you think you would be able to live in a Lego house?
2.Larger Than Life X- Wing
32 master builders (awesome sounding job) spent 17,336 total hours building this giant replica of an X-Wing. When it was ceremoniously unveiled at Times Square in May of 2013, it was the biggest Lego model in history, easily beating out the Lego robot at the Mall of America by 2 million bricks. The replica had a wingspan of 44 feet, weighed 45,980 pounds and was made of a staggering 5,335,200 total blocks. The Lego rebel alliance was even bigger than its fictional counterpart; the X-Wing Luke Skywalker used to destroy the Death Star would have been about 41 feet long if it were real.
1. Mt. Rushmore
Mount Rushmore. The American National Monument, carved into South Dakota Mountain granite features four United States presidents severed heads, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Now, you can enjoy this piece of American History in Lego form at any Legoland location. Lego Mount Rushmore is made up of more than one and a half million individual plastic Lego bricks. In 1949, a Danish carpenter, Ole Kirk Christiansen, created, Legos! In 1968, Legoland Denmark opened, the amusement park grew with rides, water parks, 3-D movies, vehicles which move, nine themed areas and over 60 million legos.
14-year-old girl thrown off ride at amusement park in Chongqing
Video footage emerged showing a teenager being thrown off a ride at an amusement park in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality at 2:00 pm local time yesterday. According to the Legal Evening News, the safety belt suddenly parted and the the 14-year-old girl flew up, then fell down and hit a barrier. She was rushed to the hospital, but died later from her injuries. The amusement park was closed for further investigation. The ride is called, “Travel in Space” and costs 15 yuan (2 US Dollars) per person.
