SUMMARY
=======
Green Flash Brewing Company is an American craft brewery headquartered in the Mira Mesa neighborhood of San Diego, California, and founded in 2002. In early April, the company sold to a group of investors, WC IPA LLC following a foreclosure by the company’s principal lender, Comerica Bank.Starting in 2013 it began expanding, seeking to cover all 50 US states and to export as well. It acquired another company, Alpine Beer Company, 2014, and opened an East Coast brewery in 2016. However it financed the expansion with loans, and in the face of competition from local craft breweries it was not able to keep up with its payments. The company tried to shrink to control its costs but by April 2018 its lender foreclosed, and the company was sold to a private investor group.

Fall Brewing Co.
Today's journey to find the 'Hoppiest Place on Earth' landed us at the craft beer brewery of Fall Brewing Co., in the North Park area of San Diego, CA. Recently, I've began to see more of these taps popping around town, and received a good tip from someone at Green Flash Brewing Company that this place was legit, and worth checking out. Wow. They were right!

Review: Hardcore marijuana, those were among the first words on this review. And as far as the aroma is concerned, it is spot on. The Imperial IPA from Green Flash Brewing Co is a classic San Diego IPA, which means it is really hoppy, and for those of you who don't know what the hell hops are, they're what make your beer taste like pine trees and gives it that bitter after taste. This beer has raised the bar for IPA's all around the globe. So if you like a good IPA do yourself a favor and grab this one off the shelf.
Color: The lighter side, 2 out of 10
Taste: Heavy Hops,
Price and ABV: $5.50, 9.4%
Shotgun-ability: Heavy on the faom, not ideal, 2 out of 10
Time and Place: Probably not mid day in the hot sun. That being said, at anywhere else on the planet at any other time, I don't think I could say no. Ideal for sneaking into a movie theatre, it will get the job done at 9.4% abv.
Overall Rating: Really good, 8 out of 10
A small company with big ideas.
Mike and Lisa Hinkley took their interest in the craft beer industry to a new level in 2002 when they founded Green Flash Brewing Company. Former pub owners, Mike and Lisa jumped into brewing, and in 2003 renowned brewmaster Chuck Silva joined the team.
With Chuck on board we began brewing premium style beers, modern twists on traditional styles, and our beers began to develop a following. Cutting edge brews, Green Flash Brewing Company's beers don't fit traditional guidelines, instead we let our hybrid, benchmark beers blaze their own trail.
Located in San Diego, CA, we specialize in brewing assertive and distinctive beers, such as our West Coast I.P.A.: an award-winning beer whose wide acceptance has helped define a category. We also brew seasonal, collaborative and barrel-aged beers.
Our award-winning beers are on draft and bottled and are available throughout the United States in bars, restaurants and retail outlets.
Our People
A small team of people making great beer.
