Hi! My name is Loretta, a girl from the U.S. who moved to Japan! I'm here on the MEXT scholarship program as a graduate student, studying to get a Masters in Business Administration. Here are some answers to common questions:
1. Do I Speak Japanese? Yep! I was taught formally in High School and have been speaking now for over 15 years.
2. What are you studying? I'm a student in a Japanese Masters of Business Administration Program
3. How old are you?:
4. How did you get into Japanese school?:
5. What camera equipment do you use?: I film my videos with a Canon 60D using a 30mm Sigma Art Lens and I edit with Sony Vegas Pro 10 (with some help from photoshop).

Japan Vlog Day 3, 4 & 5- Harajuku/Sake Brewery/Fujiyoshida
Hello everyone! This is day 3, 4 and 5 of our honeymoon in Japan.
Day 3-We spent the morning taking a music class from our host. That was truly an amazing experience. I loved Yuka and Masa. They were some really great hosts. We then took a trip to Harajuku to get our tattoos at Tokyo Three Tides. I loved how they turned out. After our appointment, we went to Meiji Shrine in Harajuku and ended the night there. It was so peaceful, there weren't many people there actually. After Meiji Shrine we went for conveyer belt sushi and then had a traditional tea ceremony with our host.
Day 4- We spent day four traveling to the western outskirts of Tokyo. When we arrived, our hosts gave us bikes and we rode to local brewery and took a tour. We got to try a bunch of different kinds of sake. After that we rode back to the house and had food and a calligraphy class from our host's wife.
Day 5- Today was spent going to Fujiyoshida. Our host picked us up from the station and brought us to the air bnb. It was an amazing air bnb. No central heating due to the old building type, but the heaters in the rooms make it comfortable. We had hot pot made by our host and it was super yummy. We spent the rest of the night relaxing and preparing for our hike tomorrow.
Air bnbs where we stayed.

Japan's Late Night Izakaya Culture: Beer, Food & Karaoke

Solo Trip to Japan: Lost in the Rain in Shinjuku | Japaniku episode 4 (Ikutree)
In this episode I visit more of modern Tokyo with Ikebukuro and a quick visit to Shinkuju! That day, the rain started to fall and it didn't stop for days... luckily, there's the Pokemon Center. Also, I get lost a lot.
Last October, I went on my very first solo trip all the way to my dream destination: Japan (!) with the firm intention of documenting my voyage as much as I could to share with you guys.
I hope that you'll enjoy discovering Japan through my lens and that I can motivate some of you to take that leap and to travel alone. If my shy bunny butt can do it, so can you! I'll be going from Tokyo through Osaka, Kyoto and Nara down to Hiroshima, Miyajima and Okunoshima before heading back to Tokyo but not without taking a brief day trip to Hakone before I fly back to Brussels.
I have TONS of footage to get through so bear with me and stay tuned for many more episodes of Japaniku!
Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions and/or feedback in the comments.
