FIRST TIME IN INDIA - Amazing Places in Delhi, India
WOW! That’s all we can say about our first time in India! We did a little research and found some amazing places in Delhi, India to visit during our 2 week stay. Today we’ll show you around Jama Masjid and Humayun’s Tomb, two beautiful monuments in the heart of the city in New Delhi, India! You don’t want to miss these.
Walking down the streets of Old Delhi, we were so overwhelmed with smells, sounds, and people. We can’t believe this is Delhi, India! It’s just like something we’ve never experienced before and I think it’s hard to even capture it on film. If you plan to travel to India, you’ll soon know what we mean. However, the two places we visited are some of the best places in Delhi to visit once you arrive in India.
Our first stop was Jama Masjid which is a mosque in Old Delhi, India. The mosque itself was built in 1656 AD and it’s courtyard can hold up to 25,000 people at one time for payer. Jama Masjid is absolutely gorgeous, but make sure you follow the non-muslim visiting hours. Even though we arrived during non-muslim visiting hours, we got kicked out. That was pretty disappointing because we wanted to film a bit more there and show you the beauty of this place in our India travel vlog. But, rules are rules! A little tip, if you bring a camera into the mosque it’s 300 Rupee per person ($4 usd)
Next we walked through the streets of Delhi and got a taste for local life in India. We walked through the Old Delhi neighborhood and saw vegetable markets set up on the sidewalk, morning commuters grabbing coffee from their favorite stand, and witnessed what living in India must feel like.
We then headed over to central Delhi to visit Humayun’s Tomb. If you ask anyone what to do in Delhi, they will tell you to visit Humayun’s Tomb. Built in the mid 1500’s by Persian architects, the monument was actually the structure that inspired the famous Taj Mahal. Now that’s some serious history! Although the Taj Mahal gets all the credit, Humayun’s Tomb is absolutely breathtaking and it was the first structure of it’s size to be built in all red sandstone.
Being our first time in Delhi, we think these two attractions were a great introduction into the history of the city and to India as a whole. Both Jama Masjid and Humayun’s Tomb are two things we recommend you must do in Delhi! A lot of people take Delhi as a starting point to go explore other places in India, however we think New Delhi city is a great place to experience the culture of India without too many tourists weighing down your experience.
We hope you enjoyed seeing our first time in India! We are exploring hidden gems, India street food, and tourist spots in Delhi India for the next two weeks. So make sure to subscribe for more India travel vlogs!
* We’re Ryan & Stacia from DeathbyVlog. Unlike other travel vloggers, we live and work in a different country each month with a moderate housing budget. Sorry, but no backpacker lifestyle here! We will show you mouthwatering local food tours, provide history on each destination, and cinematic broll for all of you film lovers. Each month we rent an apartment or airbnb in a different city or country, so follow along on this journey and learn about countries around the world. Delhi, India is a true CURRY HEAVEN, and we traveled here to go for this DEEP Street Food tour of Old Delhi! The Food Ranger (Trevor James) is in India eating Street Food! This walk through Old delhi truly was an AMAZING STREET FOOD ADVENTURE with delicious curry, amazing restaurants, and with so much tasty and UNIQUE Indian food recipes for our huge Indian dinner.
If you love eating street food around the world and street food in India, or even all over Asia, you will love the street food in Old Delhi. You can find street food everywhere, where everyone seems to cook delicious Indian recipes for curry and SPICY dishes all over the street.
In one day in old Delhi, India, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the halal style.
We started out the day with an AMAZING ramadan experience at the largest Mosque in Delhi, Jama Masjid. We picked up a ton of different Indian street foods to bring to the mosque and break the fast with all the locals. We shared the delicious food, and then went back to the streets of Old Delhi to try more food.
The first food we had on our street food tour was the Delhi Fried Chicken, DFC, covered in Indian spices like masala and mustard. It was extremely JUICY and PLUMP!!!
Afterwards, we tried more BBQ chicken and then went for a nice Indian dinner cooked by one of the locals in Old Delhi. His family recipes were passed down to him and his food was legendary! We ate Indian Chicken Biryani and chicken korma curry along with Buffalo Korma along with Kameeri Roti! It was absolutely delicious!
After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Changezi chicken joint that invented the recipe for this juicy and flavour packed chicken curry dish!
To finish of the day, we went for some delicious BBQ Seekh Kebabs, extremely flavourful!!
The addresses for these street food restaurants in Old Delhi, India, are found on the main street below Jama Masjid, Old Delhi, India.

Full Journey on India's Fastest Train: Sealdah New Delhi Duronto Part I: Delhi-Kanpur
A full journey compilation aboard India's fastest train (when the journey was undertaken, this honour was with the Bhopal Shatabdi), the 12260 New Delhi Sealdah Duronto Express, which covers the 1,453 km distance between New Delhi and Kolkata in a mere 16.5 hours, at a frenetic average pace of 89 kmph, with a maximum permissible speed of 130 kmph.
The first part covers the first 440 km night journey till Kanpur which the train covers at a blistering pace in 4 and a half hours, averaging nearly 100 kmph, the Ghaziabad WAP7 in power tearing through the plains of Uttar Pradesh. Featured in this video is the crawl through the stations of Ghaziabad and Tundla, and rapid skips of Aligarh and Etawah. Kanpur Central at midnight is bustling with activity. As we departed from Kanpur, the Howrah New Delhi Duronto pulled into Kanpur with a Howrah WAP4 in charge.
My father in green kurta can be viewed in this video (so can his voice at times), thoroughly enjoying the Duronto journey. It is also worth noting the stunning cleanliness of this train: it undoubtedly is one of the cleanest and well-maintained trains in India.

NDLS/New Delhi -- MMCT/Mumbai Central
Mumbai–New Delhi Duronto Express, also known as Mumbai AC Duronto Express, is a fully air-conditioned, non-stop version of Duronto-type service running between Mumbai Central and New Delhi. It is maintained by Western Railways (WR), Mumbai division. This train does not used to make any commercial halts, but now it does make commercial halts at Vadodara,Ratlam and Kota. In the up direction, from New Delhi to Mumbai, the service runs with train number 22210 and in down direction, from Mumbai to New Delhi, as train number 22209.
Most of the other Duronto trains take less travel time than their Rajdhani counterparts. Therefore, before the introduction of Mumbai Duronto, it was expected to be the fastest service on the route by many Indian railfans. The Rajdhani Express gets top-most priority on the route, making it the fastest train in the Mumbai–Delhi route. But, the Rajdhani continues to be the fastest as both trains cover the same distance and despite being non-stop service, with no commercial halts, the Duronto takes 40–70 mins more than the Rajdhani.
The maiden run of the train was on 18 March 2012. It ran as 02209 down Mumbai central-New Delhi Duronto inaugural special express for the very first time [1] and was flagged off by the Mayor of Mumbai, Sunil Prabhu. The first run according to the timetable was done on 20 March 2012, from Delhi to Mumbai. The regular run with the original train numbers was started on 23 March 2012 from Mumbai as 22209.
22210 Mumbai Duronto used to arrive Mumbai central at 17:00 hrs initially but changes were made and the arrival time at Mumbai was made 45 mins earlier i.e. at 16:15 hrs. Similarly, the down train used to arrive at New Delhi at 16:55 hrs, 10–20 mins early on average, hence, it now officially arrives at New Delhi at 16:30 hrs.
Pure LHB Coaches in Red-Grey Rajdhani Livery, manufactured in India, are used for this train. Duronto Vinyl or Wallpaper pasting is done to give the duronto livery, which known as Maa Mati Manush and is designed by former Rail Minister of India, Smt Mamta Bannerjee, who herself was the founder of Duronto express trains concept.
It comprises 9 Third AC (3A), 3 Second AC (2A), 1 pantry, 1 First AC (1A) and 2 Generator cum lugguage cum guard van, hence, a total of 16 coaches. Maximum 1-2 extra coaches may be added to clear extra rush during holidays.
The train mostly gets a WAP 4 or WAP 5 locomotive from Vadodara shed. It was the first ever train to depart Mumbai on its first run, with AC (Alternate current) type Locomotive (WAP-4). Now it regularly runs with Head-end power enabled WAP-7 of Vadodara Shed.
Travel Time: 17h 15m 3 halts Distance: 1386 km Avg Speed: 80 km/hr.

India to USA : My trip begins
This video is about my first trip to the USA from India. After watching this, you will get to know about the flights I took from India to USA. Also, I have shared the experience I had at the Abu Dhabi AIrport and Rome Airport. I travelled on Jet Airways from Delhi to Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airlines from Abu Dhabi to Rome. After that, I took Al Italia Airlines from Rome to reach Boston's Logan Airport in the USA. I will share more information about how to get cheap flights from India to America and details on how to get the US visa from India.
