Full Train Journey: KTM Komuter Kuala Lumpur to Batu Caves - Seramban Line
This is a video of me taking the KTM Komuter Seremban Line from the old Kuala Lumpur station to Batu Caves, a very popular tourist attraction. I took the 9:44am train and it arrived on time. However, it had to stay at the station for just over 7 minutes waiting for the signal to clear. Once the train sets off, it takes 28 minutes to reach Batu Caves.
The old Kuala Lumpur station is also served by a wide variety of commuter and KTM Intercity trains, including the blue Seremban Line (Line 1), red Port Klang Line (Line 2) and KTM ETS services which go all the way up to Butterworth in Penang and Padang Besar at the border with Thailand. There are currently no direct trains to Johor Bahru (JB Sentral) at the border with Singapore, since the train tracks are currently being electrified. Southbound trains currently go as far as Gemas as a result.
On my way to the Batu Caves, the train stopped at 6 stations along the way: Bank Negara, Putra, Sentul, Batu Kantonmen, Kampung Batu and Taman Wahyu. The entire journey is above ground, so I was able to enjoy some scenery on my way to the Batu Caves, located in the northern end of the city
There were loads of people visiting the Batu Caves that day, resulting in long queues to leave the station. The entrance to the caves is a 5 minute walk away from the station, which is just as well since I then had to climb over 200 steps to get enter the actual Batu Caves!

Wiki writes about the Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves (Tamil: பத்து மலை) is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu (Stone River), which flows past the hill. It is the tenth (பத்து - Pathu in Tamil) limestone hill from Ampang. Batu Caves is also the name of a nearby village.
The cave is one of the most popular Tamil shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan (Tamil God Murugan Tamil: தமிழ் கடவுள் முருகன்). It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia...
Wiki writes about the KTM Komuter train in Malaysia, KTM Komuter is a commuter rail system in Malaysia operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM).
