Kampot is a province in southwest Cambodia, edging onto the Gulf of Thailand. In the west, the jungle of Preah Monivong (aka Bokor) National Park in the misty Elephant Mountains is home to Bokor Hill Station, a 1920s French ghost town. On the banks of the Teuk Chhou River, the province's sleepy capital, Kampot, is known for its French colonial architecture.

The Kampot Museum welcome to national guest and international guest who come to visit and research the history of Kampot province.​ You can visit everyday, Morning from 8:30 to 11:30 and the afternoon open from 13:30 to 17:30.

សារៈមន្ទីរខេត្តកំពតសូមស្វាគមន៍ដល់ភ្ញៀវជាតិ និងអន្តរជាតិ ដែលមកទស្សនា ក៏ដូចជាស្វែងយល់ពីប្រវត្តិសាស្រ្តនានារបស់ខេត្តកំពត។ លោកអ្នកអាចអញ្ជើញទៅទស្សនាបានជារៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃ ពេលព្រឹកចាប់ពីម៉ោង៨:៣០ដល់ម៉ោង១១:៣០ និងពេលរសៀលបើកចាប់ពីម៉ោង១៣:៣០ ដល់ម៉ោង១៧:៣០។

Samon's village -Traditional rustic huts but clean and had the essentials. The food here is fantastic, staff is friendly and the village complex is super chilled and right by the river. It is further from the town centre so would need to bike, scooter or get a tuktuk in to town.

In February, 2007, Mr. Young Yorn យឹង យន with his friends Lon Sokeun​ លន់ សុខគឿន, Ek Sam An ឯក សំអន went to do research Yike, Khmer Traditional Theatrte in Srov Leu village, Srov Leu commune, Dang Tong, Kampot province, Cambodia.​ This band has been preserving its art form from their ancestor. Today it does not perform very often just like it did before .Yike was very popular in Cambodia in the past for rural people. Now, however, it lose its popularity so much. Young generations are very rare to see Yike performance. Yike need to be protected from being lost. We strongly hope that Yike will gain its popularity and will never disappear and more people take care of it.
From this researching, they got a lot songs that are different from other bands in Cambodia.
