Kayaking to the Portage Glacier, Alaska
A kayak trip down spectacular Portage Lake to the Portage Glacier, Alaska. The lake is surrounded by high mountains with waterfalls dropping off the cliffs into the water. Portage Glacier is the crown jewel in a mountainous valley capped with alpine glaciers. Portage Lake is only about an hours drive from Anchorage and about 6 km from Whittier, AK.

From huge chunks of ice falling off the glacier right in front of us, to Elly flipping in glacial water ... this paddle was amazing as you get to paddle right up to the face of the glacier!! And it's FREE!!!

Vlog #29: Oceanfront Camping in Whittier, Alaska
Drove thru a one-way tunnel to Whittier, Alaska on the Prince William Sound. We met up with some new friends who decided to drive all the way up to Alaska while we were there. Camped for free on one of the best spots in all of Alaska for a few nights. Did some salmon fishing, drove into town and spent some great time with great friends.

A compilation of 6 days 6 nights camping and kayaking in Prince William Sound, Alaska. August 2012 left from Whittier to Blackstone Bay and Surprise Cove. All footage was shot using a GoPro Hero 2. There was a certain rhythm to this unique experience that I attempted to capture with the footage and editing.

Day 2 of my quick business trip out to Anchorage, Alaska with my buddy James. I decided to bring all you guys along in my first ever VLOG!!
Breakfast before work. Then a trip to Portage Lake and the little town of Whittier. Sights include a glacier lake, complete with iceberg. Then through the single line tunnel to get Whittier where we see an awesome snow run off stream and great views of the Prince William Sound!
