Keough's Hot Springs was established in 1919 and is still used today by locals and visitors alike. We invite you to come and partake in the splendor and relaxation of this one of a kind experience. ...If you like hot springs that are tucked away in nature you can join me in this (super dorky experimental video I took of myself with a $20 camera off ebay). In this short 3 min. video I take a walk through the San Bernadino National forest to some hidden and remote Hot Spring pools. The river is ice cold but the floor of the river bed is hot! Camping Trip 2013, Part 4, Hwy 395, Pine Creek Road, Bishop CA
Pine Creek Road, at Hwy 395 north of Bishop CA, is a beautiful canyon drive. (no camping), Keough Hot Springs, South of Bishop, is a great place to relax and refresh. The best camping in the Bishop area is at Rock Creek Road, 20 miles north of Bishop on Hwy 395. Bishop is at the base of Mt Tom and the Bishop Tuff, a 3,000 foot thick layer of ash and rock from the eruption of the Long Valley Caldera 750,000 years ago.
Gorgeous Bishop California Stars and Utah Hot Springs/Streams in Time Lapse
While shooting bouldering in the Buttermilks with Mirko Caballlero and Three Peak Films I shot an astro lapse over our campground and some stars in the middle of the Nevada desert on the way back to Utah.
Video also includes shots of Arrow Canyon Nevada, a top climbing spot, which is actually very close to my home. Hot springs are in Diamond Fork Canyon and called Fifth Water Hot Springs. They are a 2.5 mile hike from the parking lot and a pretty popular spot for college students to go at night but they are even more amazing during the day as the canyon is beautiful.

California Highway 395 Hot Springs Road Trip
My friend and I packed our car and hit the road to explore a couple hot springs off highway 395. We headed to the small town of Bridgeport where we explored two hot springs and stayed the night in a covered wagon. We were back on the road after breakfast and headed down to Lee Vining where we kayaked at Mono Lake. We enjoyed a late lunch with live music and ended our trip at one final hot springs in Mammoth Lakes.

Laws Railroad Museum And Historic Site Tour - Laws/Bishop California
This video takes us on a tour of the Laws Railroad Museum and Historic Site in Laws, California which is a few miles outside of Bishop, California.
The museum is free to enter and focuses on railroad and mining history. There are 11 acres of indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a mock up of a mine and mill.
We visited for at least two hours with Ron Morefield, who gave us a great demonstration of a couple hit and miss engines, plus the history behind several more engines, that are there at the museum. There is also the original depot and the Slim Princess, a narrow gauge train that served the rail stop at Laws. It is a great museum that will take at least a few hours to explore.
