Amazing underwater view of what happens to your crab trap underwater and what is stealing your bait!
Watching the crab pot soak for 50 minutes before pulling it up.
Nothing but chicken for bait, the Dungeness, red rock crab and fish all seemed to love it.
On the second toss the trap landed on a stray bait box but still managed to catch a few crab.

No coastal reporting: Catch record cards are required for those fishing for Dungeness crab along the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound, which includes marine area 4 (east of the Bonilla-Tatoosh line) and marine areas 5-13. They are not required along the coast, which includes marine areas 1-3 and marine area 4 (west of the Bonilla-Tatoosh line).
Failure to report penalty: If crabbers fail to report their summer or winter harvest, they will be assessed a $10 penalty with the following year's license purchase.

Huge Wave Explosions! Shore Acres Storm Watching Oregon Coast
Shore Acres State Park is easily the best storm watching spot on the Oregon Coast and may just be one of the best spots in the world! The HUGE waves and resulting spectacular towering fountains of water (200'+) can be seen both north & south from many spots within the park. And, if you are lucky, you may get a glimpse of King Neptune or Poseidon, @1:20 in the video. Watching the waves crash in can be mesmerizing! If this sort of stuff is your cup of tea, 11 minutes is not enough! If you feel that all the waves look the same, skip to 8:00 in the video and watch from there.
Epic Day Fishing for Salmon from the Worlds Smallest Harbor (Depoe Bay,Oregon)
The worlds smallest harbor is in a small town called Depoe Bay,Oregon on the West coast of America.The beaches are stunning and you can see Grey whales not to far from shore.I had an awesome time fishing with Capt Daniel and his mate Travis on the Sea Fever from Tradewind Charters.
We caught our Salmon limit before 10:45 A.M and then went to pic up a few Dungeness crab traps.The fishing was extremely exciting and we all had a great time.I cant say enough about how cool this small town is.I ended up getting my salmon filets and went to a State Park and grilled up a filet for me. I had three extra Filets and i gave them away to a family fishing along the beach. What an awesome day!

Just after crossing the Yaquina Bay Bridge, one of the many beautiful bridges along Oregon's coast, I pulled over at Yaquina Bay Lighthouse park on the south end of the town of Newport. I parked in front of a small open-air chapel that, upon exploration, I discovered was dedicated to the memory of local fishermen lost at sea since 1900. It was a touching find, and I spent time studying the living, evolving shrine inside the chapel. Men. All of them men. Each one once a father, brother, husband, lover, son, friend now represented by pieces of paper, images, letters, poems and keepsakes from loved ones. Do men live life more fully alive, with less fear while they're here among us? Do they take bigger risks? Are they more willing to take on life at all costs, at the greatest cost? Are they more alive because of it? I wondered.

Why Dozens of U S President Statues Sit Deteriorating in a Rural Virginia Field
Somewhere in Virginia on the outskirts of private farmland sits the completely bizarre sight of nearly 40 giant U.S. president busts crumbling amongst the weeds. The mammoth heads—each estimated to weigh in excess of 7,000 pounds—were originally commissioned from a Houston artist as the centerpiece for Presidents Park, a ten-acre open-air museum with presidential sculptures and informational plaques located in Williamsburg, Virginia. First opened in 2004, the museum closed just 6 years later due to lack of attendance and most of the heads were eventually moved to a private farm where they sit today.
Photographer Patrick Joust recently made a trek to the presidential graveyard and shot these amazing photos of the eroding statues. The pieces are already faded and peeling from the elements and display a number of structural scars from repeated moves. The post-apocalyptic scene is reminiscent of the final moments of Planet of the Apes, or a modern take on the giant mysterious heads sprawled across Easter Island. A few of the presidential busts have been a bit more lucky: Abraham Lincoln’s bust now rests in front of the the Lincoln RV Park in Williston, North Dakota, and Theodore Roosevelt’s bust sits outside the Roosevelt Inn in Watford.

Greetings from the West Coast, USA! If there's one thing everyone's got to do once in their life, it's go on a road trip through the States.
With the spring sunshine on our backs, we drove down from Vancouver and headed to Astoria, Cannon Beach & Cape Disappointment, taking in some of the astounding beauty of the West Coast of the States along the way.

Driving down from Vancouver, we decided to go on the all American road trip to the West Coast of the States.
Our first stop was at the stunningly beautiful Cannon Beach, famous not only for Haystack Rock, but also as the location of a number of films including one of our childhood favourites, The Goonies!
After chucking a frisbee around and playing in the water like a couple of kids, we headed over to Del Ray beach, a gorgeous beach where we even got to drive on the sand for mile after mile with the sea on our left and the sand on our right. To us, this is what road trippin' is all about.
Once we made it up to Astoria, we managed to see The Goonies house (we may have even done the Truffle Shuffle!) and also the school where they filmed Kindergarten Cop! Another thing you can see at Astoria are the seals as they laze about in the evening sun, all while they cry out to each other.
From Astoria, we drove over the Columbia River on the longest trust bridge in North America with Cape Disappointment as our destination. With a name such as that we had to see how disappointing it could really be. The answer? We'll, for that you're just going to have to watch the video, aren't you...
