The city is capital of the autonomous community of Canary Islands (shared with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), sharing governmental institutions such as presidency and ministries. Between the 1833 territorial division of Spain and 1927, Santa Cruz de Tenerife was the sole capital of the Canary Islands. In 1927 the Crown ordered that the capital of the Canary Islands be shared, as it remains at present.Santa Cruz contains the modern Auditorio de Tenerife, the architectural symbol of the Canary Islands.
The island is home to the University of La Laguna; founded in 1792 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, it is the oldest university in the Canaries. The city of La Laguna is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the second city most populated on the island and the third in the archipelago. It was capital of the Canary Islands before Santa Cruz replaced it in 1833.
Teide National Park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located in the center of the island. In it, the Mount Teide rises as the highest elevation of Spain, the highest of the islands of the Atlantic Ocean, and the third-largest volcano in the world from its base.Also on the island, the Macizo de Anaga (massif) has been a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2015. It has the largest number of endemic species in Europe.
Siam & Loro Park
Siam Park is a water park in Costa Adeje, a coastal suburb in Tenerife, Canary Islands. Siam Park features a Siamese theme, and claims to be the most spectacular water attraction in Europe.The park was opened by the Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The principal owners are Wolfgang Kiessling and his son Christoph. . A second park is planned for the neighbouring island of Gran Canaria.
Loro Parque (Spanish for parrot park) or 'Loro Park' is a 13.5-hectare (33-acre) zoo on the outskirts of Crossport or Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife, Spain where it houses an extensive and diverse reserve of animal and plant species. The park was conceived as a paradise for parrots and has developed over the years into one of the biggest attractions of the Canary Islands, with over 40 million visitors.The park keeps orcas, which has attracted criticism from some organisations] and led to the zoo being boycotted by major travel agents including TUI Group (Thomson) and Thomas Cook.

Hotel Review: LA LAGUNA GRAN HOTEL (Tenerife, Spain)
First of all: This is not a sponsored post and usually I do not stay at fancy hotels like that:)
Location: Center. Perfect.
Cleaning: As you would expect it from a 4 star hotel. Perfect.
Staff: Very friendly. Nothing to complain.
Room: Typical hotel room layout. Nice but nothing super fancy.
Wifi / TV: Good connection. Did not check the TV.
Food / Bar: There is a restaurant in the inner courtyard and has pretty yummy food. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of typical breakfast food. There is another stylish bar at the reception.
Gym: Best one I have ever seen in a hotel so far.
Swimming Pool: Was closed, when I was there. It is on the rooftoop. Looked really nice. The roof top is incredible with a beautiful sight of l
Summary: Recommended. I had a great offer and got a good hotel. If someone reads this from the hotel, may be I get a free night next time? ;)
My review is based on: Usual I travel alone and I am looking for a room which is clean and is located rather central. It also the price needs to be reasonable. My experience is that one more star might cost much more money but I usually do not need the few extras I get since I usually try not to spent to much time at the hotel.

LA LAGUNA - Walking Tour (Tenerife, Spain)
If you travel to the Canary Islands and then even to Tenerife, La Laguna is a perfect place to spent at least a few hours or even longer. The size of the city is perfect for walking to see most of the touristic attractions.

Drugie pod względem wielkości miasto Teneryfy. Ta urokliwa miejscowość jest zabytkowym ośrodkiem oraz kwintesencją kanaryjskiego stylu. Historia tego miejsca sięga XV wieku.
Wygląd dzisiejszego starego miasta niczym się nie zmienił od XVI wieku. Zachowały się dawne, piękne rezydencje z eleganckimi fasadami. Ze względu na dużą ilość zabytków - Starówka w 1999 roku została wpisana na Listę Światowego Dziedzictwa Kulturalnego i Przyrodniczego UNESCO.
Miasto to warto odwiedzić ze względu na zachowany do dnia dzisiejszego kanaryjski styl, wdzięk oraz niesamowitą atmosferę.
La Laguna słynie również z tego, że jest najbardziej mokrym miastem na wyspie. Podczas, gdy w innych pobliskim miejscowościach świeci słońce, tutaj może padać deszcz.
