While my clients were tasting wine and enjoying the good company of Vincent Arroyo's Tasting room staff, I took a little video of the winery. Like several other Napa Valley Wineries Vincent Arroyo's greeters walk around on 4 feet. Be sure to say hi! to Bodega and JJ when you stop in for a tasting! Maybe you could even try JJ's blend in the Tasting room.

Thumbs Up Wine Review: 2011 Grigio Luna Pinot Grigio, Two Thumbs Up
Wine Reviews by Thumbs Up Wine Review: It's nearly impossible to find a better Pinot Grigio at $5.00 or less. This Villa Borghetti Grigio Luna 2011 Pinot Grigio from Italy has some real depth. The overall complexity of the layers of flavor and how they all come together in such a balanced way is what makes this a truly unique and truly wonderful wine. Hard to do at this (or any) price point.

Mirror '07 Cabernet & '09 Sauvignon Blanc
Mirror, Mirror in my glass, cheers to your style, grace & class. Rhymes aside, this is a serious wine built on a foundation of solid fruit. These Napa wines hold nothing back with their presentation of equally balanced strength & structure. Cheers!

SRJC PETALUMA SEVENTH ANNUAL BUILDING COMMUNITY BREAKFAST
SANTA ROSA JUNIOR COLLEGE PETALUMA SEVENTH ANNUAL BUILDING COMMUNITY BREAKFAST
The Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Friends of Petaluma Campus Trust presented the seventh annual Building Community Breakfast and Fundraiser on Thursday, June 7 from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. This year’s breakfast was more celebratory than usual as it falls during Santa Rosa Junior College’s 100th anniversary year. More than 250 business, education, nonprofit and community leaders are expected to attend. The breakfast took place in SRJC Petaluma’s Physical Fitness Center, located at 680 Sonoma Mountain Parkway.
The breakfast celebrates SRJC Petaluma on its beautiful Sonoma Mountain Parkway site, located in Petaluma’s “College District.” SRJC Superintendent/President Dr. Frank Chong delivered opening remarks. Dr. Jane Saldaña-Talley, Vice President of the Petaluma campus, hosted the event, and SRJC Petaluma Deans Dr. Matthew Long and Dr. Catherine Williams presented the “State of The Campus” address including an update on current activities, new and future plans for SRJC Petaluma. The event will also include remarks from SRJC Petaluma Faculty and Biological Anthropologist Michelle Hughes Markovics, who specializes in Bioarchaeology (the study of human skeletal remains from archaeological contexts) and Forensic Anthropology. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) student William Morrison provided the student perspective.
This year’s featured speaker is Leigh Sata, SRJC’s Senior Director of Capital Projects, presented an update on the progress of SRJC’s Measure H capital bond, which passed in 2014. Sata brings over thirty years of program and construction management experience to the Santa Rosa Junior College team. Much of his career as a practicing architect and a program and construction manager has focused on the education sector. He has a long history of managing capital improvement programs for universities, community colleges and secondary schools. As leader of SRJC’s $410 million Measure H bond program, Sata is responsible for implementing the facilities master plan and recently updated district standards, as well as keeping the SRJC community, the Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee and the taxpayers informed of progress. The master plan is complete and the bond plan is beginning implementation and will include new Chemistry, Anthropology and Veterinary Technology labs on the SRJC Petaluma campus. The project will also upgrade Student Services areas to better serve the student population.
Silver Sponsors for this year’s event include Clover Sonoma, Exchange Bank, Lace House Linen Supply, Inc., Mahoney Davison Co. Property Management, Pacific Union Real Estate, and Torkelson & Associates, LLP, Certified Public Accountants.
