Oroville, California
Oroville is the county seat of Butte County, California, United States. The population was 15,506 at the 2010 census, up from 13,004 in the 2000 census. Oroville is considered the gateway to Lake Oroville and Feather River recreational areas. The city of Oroville has recently annexed two locations in South Oroville, areas A and B, which have a combined population of 2,725 people. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population of the city to be 17,996 as of January 1, 2016, up 1,908 people or 11.9 percent since 2010. The Berry Creek Rancheria of Maidu Indians of California is headquartered here.
Oroville is located off of State Route 70, and is in close proximity to State Route 99, which connects Butte County with Interstate 5. Chico, California is located about 25 minutes north of the city, and Sacramento lies about an hour south.
Oroville is situated at the base of the foothills on the banks of the Feather River where it flows out of the Sierra Nevada onto the flat floor of the Sacramento Valley. It was established as the head of navigation on the Feather River to supply gold miners during the California Gold Rush.
The town was originally called Ophir City, but the name was changed to Oroville when the first post office opened in 1854 (oro is gold in Spanish).[6] The City Of Oroville was incorporated on January 3, 1906.

Is there really a conspiracy at the Oroville Dam? (Iron Mountain)
So is there really a conspiracy at the Oroville Dam? The Iron Mountain truck was seen at the Oroville Dam, so that means one of two things....
Either 1) On-Site Document Shredding or 2) Document Pickup for Off-Site Shredding. Iron Mountain also has a huge data center with backups for tons of companies, but we found nothing that connected the Iron Mountain Data Center and the California DWR.
It appears to be strictly document related. The same boring documents that I downloaded, before they were shredded. I would have shredded them too, but I am a Digital PackRat! lol
Nobody really cares about the data, because most people are too ignorant to see what is going on underneath their noses. It is not going to be found in documents.... It is going to be found in the lying mouths of those who make the deals. They don't use contracts, they use a handshake and a smile!
Regards,
Marty

Veranda Beach Resort | Oroville, Washington
Veranda Beach located on just north of Oroville on Lake Osoyoos in the heart of Washington’s wine and recreation region is one of the State’s premier Resort Communities. The master plan resort development is approved for up to 450 homes encompassing over one mile of Lake Frontage, a village center, marina, award winning vineyards & wine; plus land for additional agricultural development and/or an 18 hole golf course. Renown golf course designer Tom Doak has toured the proposed golf site and stated the setting of rolling terrain amongst the mountains and lake views would be ideal for a Championship Course.
Fishermen and farmers fight over water in California
Facing a multi-year drought, California's rivers are too shallow and warm for salmon. Meanwhile, record production of thirsty nut crops like almonds and walnuts has diverted water from the river delta. But just as environmentalists blame nut farmers for bleeding the fish dry, the farmers are crying foul on the fish. Economics correspondent Paul Solman reports.

FNN: Oroville Dam Aerials - Threatened by Upcoming Rain Wednesday - 188,000 CA Residents Evacuated
Brought to you by Desert Diamond:
(AP) OROVILLE, Calif. (AP) -- Helicopters dropped giant rock-filled sandbags into place Monday to shore up a California reservoir that had threatened to breach its banks and unleash a 30-foot wall of water, but officials said an evacuation order covering nearly 200,000 people would stay in place until they are sure it's safe to return home.
Officials defended their decision to issue the hasty order to abandon homes downstream from the nation's tallest dam, about 150 miles northeast of San Francisco. They said it was necessary for public safety after engineers spotted a hole in an emergency spillway, which they feared could have failed within an hour.
The water level of the massive reservoir known as Lake Oroville dropped Monday, slightly easing fears of a catastrophic collapse. But with more storms on the horizon, crews raced to fortify heavily eroded soils where water flowed over the edge of the reservoir and carved huge channels in the earth as it gushed toward the Feather River.
The acting head of the state's Department of Water Resources said he did not know if anything had gone wrong and was unaware of a 2005 report that recommended reinforcing the earthen emergency spillway with concrete for just such an event. The spillway had never been used in the dam's nearly 50 years of operation, and it was not near capacity when it began to fail.
I'm not sure anything went wrong, Bill Croyle said. This was a new, never-having-happened-before event.
Croyle and the local sheriff sought to reassure the public that downstream communities were safe until water began spilling over the lake's edge Sunday and a chocolate-colored torrent began chewing through the slope below it.
The Department of Water Resources said conditions were stable at noon and then tweeted an evacuation order at 4:45 p.m. warning of a possible failure within the hour, saying this is not a drill.
Chaos ensued as anxious residents rushed to pack up their families and abandon several communities in Butte, Yuba and Sutter Counties. The flat northern Central Valley is known mainly for its abundant agriculture, which is fed by dammed-up rivers that tumble down through the Sierra Nevada foothills.
It took some people seven hours to travel to evacuation centers that should have been an hour away, said Chico Councilman Andrew Coolidge, who visited with evacuees in packed shelters in his city.
Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea insisted the evacuation had been accomplished in a fairly timely fashion and a fairly orderly manner.
MEDIA CLAMP DOWN!!! OROVILLE DAM TOWER REPORT AGENDA 21 RADIO
Paul Preston went to the Oroville Dam Media Center on the afternoon of April 9, 2017 and signed in per Department of Water Resources instructions. Paul was the only reporter to sign and visit the dam and was informed that he only had access to a single spot in a single designated area that was established by the DWR which was at the end of the main spillway. Paul requested further access to the top of the dam but that request was denied by the DWR.
After visiting the designated area Paul went to the California State Park visitor Center and went to the top of the visitor center tower. In the pictures below of the back of the dam and the two spillways Paul was able to verify the presence of two drilling rigs just in front of the emergency spillway. Paul left the visitor's complex at approximately 3:15 pm PST.
Paul's report was filed at 5:00 am PST on April 10, 2017 and by April 10, 2017 at 8:00 am PST the webcam from the top of the tower was turned off.
