Foster Botanical Gardens 6/1/2018 [4K]. Walk the Foster Botanical Gardens and see the famous Corpse Plant. It's flower had been in bloom for a couple days but, we were too late and it had closed. It's suppose to have a stink smell while in bloom.

Dan's Garden (Botanical Garden Hilo / Hawaii)
On Big Island (Hawaii) we visited the Botanical Garden near Hilo. It was definitely the best of all gardens we saw on Hawaii.
It was build by Dan J. Lutkenhouse, who discovered Onomea Valley in 1977 while vacationing with his wife, Pauline. So I called my composition 'Dan's Garden'.
We asked how long it would take to see the garden. They told us 'up to 2 hours'. We spent double the time without a second of boredom. This is Paradise!

Onomea Falls, Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden
This spectacular three-tiered waterfall is often claimed to be the Most beautiful in Hawaii.
It was discovered far back in the jungle by Dan Lutkenhouse, years after work on the lower Garden began.
One day he decided to hack his way through the jungle alongside the stream, and much to his delight he
found the magnificent waterfall.
Onomea Falls is set amidst the natural forest of palms and ferns. Exotic mosses grow on the surrounding rocks and trees. Small fish and prawns thrive in the clear, cool water. Gazing at Onomea Falls from the viewing bridge, visitors are treated to an experience of unmatched natural beauty. There is a feeling of deep peace and serenity here, as well as a sense of the power and abundance of nature.
Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden is a private, non-profit organization. Located in a valley on Onomea Bay, the natural setting of this garden enhances its collections of tropical plants from throughout the world. The special collections include aroids, gingers and heliconias, marantas, orchids, and palms. In addition to the plant and bird collections, the garden trails provide access to waterfalls, streams and scenic coastline.
