SANYA, Tokyo, Broken city
Tokyo. The Sumida River runs under lanes of suspended motorways bridges. Along the banks of the river, lines of cardboard shacks covered in blue canvas stretch forever, caught in the constant hum of the traffic speeding overhead. This is home for the homeless, the anti-city. This is where the modern world's misfit shore up, somewhere between exile and asylum, scratching a living together, walking the city streets collecting empty cans and used cardboard boxes to sell by the weight. They tell us about their past, social interactions and about two worlds; the world where they live and the one they only walk through. Japan, the abstract machine. Their words create a new vision of Tokyo, speaking from the edge they talk about the centre.

Walking around Akihabara - 秋葉原 - 4K Ultra HD
Back when we started the whole “TokyoStreetView” project, we started to cover Tokyo’s most famous, or shall I say iconic locations. But with time not only our gear changed and we decided that it was about time to revisit some of them and give you yet another taste of what they can offer. Today we will guide you through the streets of Akihabara with another one in our “Walking Around” series.
Back in early 2000, Akihabara was really the world´s best place to purchase electronics, computer parts, cameras and so on, but almost two decades later, Akihabara is just the ghost of what it used to be. Sure you can still find some interesting stuff there, but the choice of places where you could go have been cut by a good 60%.
Most of the nice stores that we used to shop at have disappeared and now sell online or have been replaced by a scary number of these cheap tourist traps called Duty Free stores. Still, Akihabara is a place that you have to visit once in your life, but besides the occasional stroll to the Yodobashi Akiba in order to play with the latest cameras or to compare products, goods deals in Japan are now on Amazon.jp or Kakaku.com.

Walking around Omotesando Avenue - Tokyo - 表参道 - 4K Ultra HD
Today’s “Walking Around” video will be all about Omotesando Avenue! Known by many as the Japanese version of the Champs-Élysées, Omotesando Avenue was in fact originally created in the Taisho Era (1912 – 1926) as the formal pathway to Emperor Meiji and his wife Empress Shoken temple also known as the Meiji Shrine.
Today things are really different and as stated earlier, Omotesando Avenue has been transformed into a more of a sophisticated shopping area than a religious one.
Brands like Chanel, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Tod’s, Dior, Prada and even Apple are now the rulers in this avenue of luxury.
Is this avenue worth checking out? Well yes, while you may found most of these brands in many other cities around the world, Omotesando and its Zelkova tree-lined avenue make for a nice pleasant walk before reaching the Meiji Shrine and the wacky Harajuku area.
Finally, if you have been vastly disappointed by Asakusa cheap souvenir shops we strongly advise you to visit the Oriental Bazar located on the Avenue. Oriental Bazaar offers premium goods and souvenirs from Japan without breaking the bank! Looking for something weirder? Go and check the new Kiddy Land store ( Created in 1950 Kiddy Land is one of most famous toy establishments in Japan where you will find some of the coolest things that are only sold in Japan!

TOKYO's TOP themed Japanese Izakaya BAR: Experience the 1950s in a night
We visited Hakuri Tabai Hanbei, one of Tokyo's top themed retro Izakaza bars which is designed like Japan in the 1950s. The interior is designed like an old shopping street, private cubicles are themed like stores. There is also a retro toy and sweets Dagashi store inside. The Japanese food and drinks are even as cheap as they were in the old Japan and you can find some unique food items for a few coins, such as fried school bread or locusts (for daring your friends). Let's experience an evening in the 1950s at Hakuri Tabai Hanbey

saturday 30th May 2009 trip to Kurume to see a pvt. art collection
took a morning train to Kurume to see the grounds and the art museum of Bridgestone.
perfect day for the excursion.
Went to see the private art collection of a very rich Japanese family. The Bridgestone family who come from Kurume. Kurume is famous for Seiko Matsuda ( a has-been pop diva) and Yakuza and the Bridgestone family. Art was incredible and a broad collection worth tens of millions. Mostly European artists and a few awful Japanese pieces. The rose garden was my favorite and it was a perfect day to enjoy.

I introduced this glamorous Japanese Cosmetics brand named Emoda, I really like this brand for their fashion, and also its very surprising beauty products. The packaging may remind you a popular brand named MAC, but no mistake, this is a brand that is more into natural and sober makeup look.
So I was tempted buying these products in a Lucky bag:
The concept? Buy a Lucky bag as you will don't know what to received of a certain amont, and received many more items, allowing for me to try this brand without spending too much!
