Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes has been Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office since 2012. Born and raised in Macao, she is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Portuguese. Fernandes studied business administration and marketing, and later worked in a bank following her college graduation. She joined the board of the Macao Government Tourism Office in 1988. Over the years, she has earned widespread respect for her diplomacy, intellect and innovative ideas.

Come and Experience Macao’s as we celebrate Chinese New Year for 2017.
The Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Rooster 30th January and 4th February 2017 is themed around the God of Wealth and Golden Egg Celebration of the New Year.
The “Parade for Celebration” features a colourful array of lights, costumes, extravagant floats and spectacular fireworks parade along the streets of Macao with more than 1,500 entertainers show casing a display of mixed cultural performances from across the globe.
Come and experience the excitement and energy as 14 floats make their way across Macao to where final performances are held. Meanwhile, the Firecrackers and Fireworks Zones are located in Taipa and on the Peninsula, which traditionally attract thousands of spectators who often purchase pinwheels for luck. Incense and Pinwheel Stalls operate at the following times: (29/1-3/2, 9:00am to 6:30pm) at A-Ma Temple.
Come and experience the memorable moments to be had whilst the multimedia opening kicks off the parade, promising travellers an extravaganza of light, sound, colour and world-class entertainment

62nd Macau Grand Prix - 2015
Recognized as the most internationally prestigious event on the local calendar, the legendary Macau Grand Prix - now edging into its sixth decade - pits the best motorcycle, WTCC and Formula 3 racers in the world against each other and the clock in dedicated competitions along the narrow, twisting Guia street circuit of Macau city. The high-pitched whine of racing engines, the roar of the crowd, and the adrenalin-charged atmosphere make for a colourful four days of non-stop, head-turning excitement.
