Tom Seay returns for Part 2 of his ride with viewers on Mackinac Island, Michigan, hosted by the Mackinac Horseman's Association at the Mackinac Community Equestrian Center.
Manager Ashley Day set up rides that showcased historical sites, the Mackinac State Historical Park, and the homes along the bluff overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. No motorized vehicles are allowed on this island, so the horse is King! Guests can bring their own horses and board them at the Community Center and ride miles of beautiful trails around the island and in the park.

When to Visit Mackinac Island. The ideal — and really, the only — time to travel to Mackinac Island is in the summer, when the weather is warm and festivals abound. After Halloween, many of Mackinac Island's travel-related businesses close down until April, with only the basic services still running for locals.

Natalie and I took a trip to Mackinaw Island. We rode our bikes through town smelling horse shit and fudge as we went. We had a great time at the Grand Hotel, hiking, sightseeing and the ferry ride back to Mackinaw City was beautiful.
