Oh, you missed it! This is a phrase we've been accustom to hearing. Most RVers get this a lot because it's impossible to see everything and we all have different interests. During our visit to Michigan in Season 1, we missed Mackinac Island and the Upper Peninsula. But the season, we came back to experience both. This time, we missed Traverse City and Tahquamenon Falls, but I'm sure we'll be back to Michigan again and we saved some for later.
As we mentioned in the video, we're enjoying spending quality time in fewer places than trying to see everything and feeling rushed and wishing we had more time.

Wings of Mackinac
Mackinac Island is home to two beautiful butterfly exhibits. Downtown, there is the Original Mackinac Island Butterfly House & Insect World and at Surrey Hills there is the Wings of Mackinac Butterfly Conservatory. Enjoy butterflies from around the world as they metamorphosis right before your eyes. A great learning environment for all, the butterflies really are at the helm of keeping our gardens pretty and our environment in check. Both are open May through October and we recommend you visit both as they both have stunning tropical gardens and hundreds of colorful butterflies flittering about.
Is This The Scariest Bridge In America?
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland reaches nearly 200 feet in certain parts and measures 4.3-miles long from end to end - and for some motorists, getting behind the wheel and driving across the bridge is simply out of the question.

Vice President Mike Pence rolled onto Mackinac Island in northern Michigan Saturday.
According to HuffPost, the VP was there to attend the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference.
However, he ignored the cherished island's car-free policy.
Instead, he arrived in not one big car, but as part of a caravan of eight black SUVs.
And the locals didn’t like it. Except for emergency vehicles, cars have been prohibited on the island for 121 years.
Pence’s motorcade was the first-ever on the picturesque island.

America's Only Highway Where Cars are not Allowed! - Horses and Bikes Only - Mackinac Island
Sitting in Lake Huron, just beyond the Mighty Mac bridge leading to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, sits a small island with a neat history. Mackinac Island is home to America's only highway where cars are not allowed. Bikes and horses fill the streets, and the smell of fudge fills the air in the quaint downtown area. We learn a bit about the history of the island in the Revolutionary war and the War of 1812, ride our bikes around the 8 mile loop, hike to Arch Rock, and explore the Grand Hotel (home to the world's largest front porch) stables. The day wouldn't be complete without a stop at Murdicks, the original Mackinac Island fudge. Come with us on a day trip to Mackinac Island!
We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping just across the lake from the island. The campground offers a free shuttle to the ferry docks, or you can choose to ride your bikes from the campground along the path about 2 miles to the ferry dock. Two different ferries offer service to the island. We took the Star Line ferry and brought along our own bikes for a small additional fee.
