Malaga Airport Bus to Marbella
PLEASE CLICK SHOW MORE THEN SCROLL DOWN FOR LINKS TO TIMETABLE & AIRPORT MAP & NOTES RE RECENT CHANGES: A video showing the walk from the arrivals hall in the new Terminal 3 at Malaga Airport to the bus stop for the Malaga Airport to Marbella express bus service. The bus takes 45 minutes and goes directly to Marbella Bus Station. SINCE THIS VIDEO WAS MADE THERE HAVE BEEN SOME CHANGES. There are now red Avanza buses as well as the blue Portillo ones, both have a luggage hold underneath. Also you now have to purchase your ticket from the ticket office which is on the left as soon as you go outside. If it is outside of office hours it may be closed so you can buy your ticket from the bus driver but make sure you have some change as they won't accept large notes. On the return journey you must buy your ticket from the ticket office at Marbella Bus Station. You can buy your return ticket up to a week in advance which I recommend as in busy periods you are then guaranteed a seat. Also the queues are often large and move slowly so if you've no ticket you need to arrive at the bus station with plenty of time to spare.

SUMMER timetable runs from JUNE to SEPTEMBER

In order to reach the designated pickup area from the arrivals hall, just after passing through the baggage claim area, follow the instructions in this video to make your way to the top floor of the carpark before leaving the airport building. The courtesy bus stop at Malaga Airport is situated almost at the end of the covered roadway next to Terminal 2. Exit arrivals hall and turn right in front of the taxi rank.

Meanwhile, Blands Travel will begin operating a shuttle service, twice daily, between Gibraltar and Malaga airport as from next week. The company says it is filling a void left by Monarch airlines, catering to passengers who have elected to travel from the Spanish airport. It says it will continue to run the service regardless of any new routes announced from the Rock, whilst sending the message that Gibraltar is open for business.
