A Walk Around Paradise Cove Beach, Malibu, California
Paradise Cove in Malibu is a public beach in front of a privately-owned facility by the same name. The property and the restaurant has surfboards all around and the outside seating area has wooden lounge chairs, palm trees, and thatched umbrellas that almost has a Hawaiian feel. Ironically though with all the surfboards around the owners banned surfing for years until the California Coastal Commission forced them to allow it. The CCC also forced the owners to quit charging fees for visitors who park outside the property and walk in to the beach, but they still charge for parking on-site. If you are here for under four hours and eat at the Paradise Cove Cafe, the parking fee is cheap or free depending on the day of the week, but all-day parking at any time of the year is quite steep (see the Paradise Cove website for current parking rates). But this is a nice place and it’s worth the price of admission to use this wide sandy beach with lifeguards, clean facilities, and a private pier.
With such a name you’d expect a pretty stunning spot. It lives up to it’s name and has even been the setting for many beach scenes in Hollywood movies. Paradise Cove is a great starting point for long beach walks. Heading east you’ll walk below some Malibu mansions and find some private beaches. Heading west you can walk below steep sandstone cliffs all the way to Little Dume Beach and Big Dume Beach in Point Dume State Beach. The entrance to Paradise Cove is clearly signed at the address 28128 Pacific Coast Highway.
Malibu Coastal Adventure - The RNs' Day Off
A fun group of registered nurses had a day off and took a Malibu Coastal Adventure.
After a coastal cruise up to Malibu, we anchored off the pier and put the paddleboards on the water.
They were given paddleboarding lessons and then they all took off paddling around the calm waters off the Malibu coast.
Having mastered the standup paddleboarding, they wanted a little more adventure, so Captain Dave tossed out a tow rope and for the next hour towed each one of them behind the boat on a paddleboard. Needless to say they had the time of their lives.

This is my new weekly video that will be a food experience, focused on the exploration of all the delicious restaurants and fun food stops along my Travel Man Dan adventures!
I wanted to showcase the food I sample, and the excitement of new restaurants or the nostalgia that comes from eating at a classic local restaurant or a new hip inspired food truck. Basically anything that’s sounds tasty and scrumptious...I’m going to investigate and try to sample!
Food is a joy to everyone and it was critical that I show off everything from the exotic culinary around the world to the basic simple down home good ass cooked meals to my community.
Equally just as important as the food i eat, I started this weekly video to showcase the great establishments I visit and the cool people that make these awesome places come to life with vibrant flavorful meals, and the passionate people who make this a overall wonderful offering.

This episode is showing the unbelievable experience I had when I head up north on Pacific Coast Highway to MALIBU SEAFOOD CO.!!
I used to take this drive up tho Malibu often many years ago just to stop at this iconic fish stand. I always thought it was the coolest thing, being a kid from Kenmore, NY- To be able to drive up the Pacific ocean coastline and get one of my favorite dishes- Fish & Chips.
This Video was shot at the Malibu Seafood Co. off the PCH and the location is really cool because it's just across from the actual sand of the beach and is surrounded by some of the most amazing houses you'll ever see. So Id have to say not just the food but the experience of eating here always has me thrilled and excited to be alive.
In this video you see I keep it simple and I order a two piece fish fried fish and chips. I always get it to go because sometimes on really beautiful days I'll run across the street(be careful) and eat on the sand of the beach. But you'll see the delicious fresh white flaked fish coated and battered to perfection as I sink my Jaws into this succulent flaky reformed shape of a sea creature. You will also see me drenching the fish with the homemade tarter sauce and washing it down with the amazing strawberry lemonade they sell. In this video you'll also see the cool atmosphere of this legendary stop along the coastline to grab a bite to eat-SERIOUSLY its a must see and stop and EAT!!
Although the staff was not able to be interview they were wonderful and very accommodating! It was such a great experience to come back and film my FOOD FRIDAY episode here-The service, environment and food was outstanding and once again thank you Malibu Seafood Co.

Malibu Canyon Road (Sunny☀️) 4K Drive ???? to Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu⛱
Los Angeles often conjures of images of the Hollywood Hills and the sprawling mansions of Beverly Hills. However, the fact is that some of the most beautiful vistas in LA can actually be found in the mountains and ocean framing it.
Malibu Canyon Road is arguably the most striking example of this; often the quickest route between the valley and Malibu, MCR is debatably the smoothest and most picturesque of all the canyon roads linking the two areas.
Still craving a little more luxury? One of the the most expensive homes in Malibu is located right off of Malibu Canyon Road, valued at $75M. Just check out the time stamp below ;)
As the main route approaches, a blue sign reading “scenic route” certainly does not disappoint, amidst 360 degrees of striking scenery the entire ride down to the PCH.

North Malibu, a short drive to the Point Mugu near Ventura county line in Southern California. Driving along Pacific Coast Highway, there's nothing but coastal sunshine, misty waves and vibrant views.
You will see surfers paddle out early morning to ride the waves. The views are stunning.

Adventure Overview:
Tuna Canyon Park preserves 1,255 beautiful acres in the mountains between Topanga and Malibu. Despite being relatively unknown and under-visited, the park delivers some of the grandest ocean views to be found anywhere in the Santa Monica Mountains. From ridges 1,500 feet above a silken Pacific Ocean, Tuna Canyon Park looks east toward Santa Monica Bay and west up the coast of Malibu.
Tuna Canyon Park has two main viewpoints, found at the ends of Hearst Tank Motorway and Big Rock Lateral. From the main trailhead, it is 1.6 miles round trip to the east-facing viewpoint on Hearst Tank Motorway, and 3.8 miles round trip to the west-facing viewpoint on Big Rock Lateral. Take in both vistas on a combined 5.1 mile hike with 900 feet of elevation change, or really go big and check out a viewpoint on Budwood Motorway for a 6.2-mile expedition.
The trailhead for Tuna Canyon Park is barely marked (perhaps why it receives so few visitors), but can be found in the mountains between Malibu and Topanga on the outside of a bend in Tuna Canyon Road.
